Received a call

Got a call on my cell phone (don't get many spammers there fortunately)..... let it ring, and they did not leave a message. Said "Cincinnati, OH'...... if it's important and not a spammer/telemarketer they will leave a message -- if they don't I ALWAYS suspect it is a junk call.... the reason people have voicemail is to get messages......

I have been receiving calls from this number for several weeks now and, as others have already mentioned, it does not leave a voicemail and I have not, thus far, answered it.

They called again this morning.... let it go to voicemail, and of course, they again left no message. So.... I called them back and after 7 rings, it went to voicemail and said "The mailbox for this number is full and cannot accept messages, if you would like to leave a call back number different than 999-888-7777- number I was calling from, press 1, if a different number, enter it now".....then, it said "This number will be sent to the pager"...... So, I'm assuming they don't accept inbound calls, but "may" return calls if you leave a number. So, I left the number of another known scammer that's been calling, so maybe they can call and try and scam each other..... Anyone who gets calls from this number, keep posting, as they appear to be 'new', as only a few people have reported them so far.....and maybe eventually someone will talk to them and find out who they are and what their scam is.....

Not sure who this number is, but they called right before 9AM. My voicemail doesn't have anything on it so I guess they thought I answered the phone. The guy on the other end kept calling my name out like an idiot so I guess they know who they are calling. It sounded like he was calling from a dialer, so more than likely it's a collector or some place that generates leads to try and sell me something that I'm sure I don't want. If they don't leave a message stating what they want. I won't be calling them back or answering their phone calls.

Received a call from 5136077539. (Cincinnati, OH) No voicemail left. Called back, mailbox full. Momof3 said it might be Sallie Mae, which is applicable to me as well, as they've been calling me for a while from other numbers, changing numbers every so often.

Just got a call from this #. Didn't answer. I agree it maybe Sallie Mae.

Spoke to them this afternoon, apparently it is Sallie Mae collections ... it's just that if you call this number you get the dead end, but if you call their 1800 number it will get you in touch with a live person.... They seemed quite sincere and eager to help, the only problem is if you are like most of people on their list, then you probably owe close to the national debt and are either out of work or barely making it ..... in other words you might be living a harsh reality no "flexible repayment plan" in the world can easily overcome ....  but at least we can all be reassured it is not some evil phishing scam, it's just the humdrum everyday reality of having a student loan debt you have little or no hope of ever being able to payback.... Hello, I keep getting calls from this number numerous times throughout the day and they leave no message.

This number keeps on bugging our company number, and it could be Sallie Mae. Now, why would they be calling a company number? Who gave them this number for collections? If it was a joke, it's a very bad one. None of the people working here has a student loan, least on behalf of the company. They need to call the individuals, not this office. They never leave a message, they never answer when you call back...This is totally ridiculous! FCC must do something to stop people from bothering those who are really working!

How many calls a day do we have to stand from that stupid phone number that hangs up when we answer with the company's motto? How many reports to the "Do Not Call" registry or any other registry? There are people working here....
