Left no answer. Probably a 'courtesy' (read solicitation)
from a TWC agent. I have Earthlink cable modem internet
service through TWC. The bill comes from TWC, but the
account domain, DNS, mail server are all Earthlink.
I am registered with Do Not Call .gov, but because my
Earthlink account is billed via Time Warner Cable, they
need not honor the D.N.C. list. Flagging ones account
for 'do not solicitate' is also not honored. :-(
When I dial the local TWC number
(their point-of-presence is < 1 mile away)
I either wait 5-20 minutes for a human to answer or
I get disconnected.
Everytime I have paid my bill in person there has been a waiting line.
So, you either get disconnected or wait 5-20 minutes on the phone, or
wait 5-20 minutes in line at their P.o.P.
There is no published 'Customer Care' telephone number.
Alas, it seems to be an unregulated monopoly. :-(
