I got a call 2/23/09. As far as I can tell, They are ligit organization calling on contractor, sub contractor, specialty contractor trying to get them on their bidder list.

The name of the company is Construction Software Technologies.  These people lied and said they wanted to verify information to update their "free" list.  They are actually a "Preconstruction Management Company," according to their website.  I wish these people would just leave us alone!!!

Todd Swartz said he was calling on several projects for bid.  However, he asked for people who are no longer with our company and haven't been for years.  Wouldn't say what specific types of projects.  Very evasive in his answers and not willing to go into detail.  Keep saying 'he' (person who hasn't worked here for years) knows what projects I'm referring too.  Construction Software came up on caller ID but caller said he works for ISQST.

This is iSqFt.  They are Internet plan room service that has been the best thing our company has joined in years.  They show you every project in the country and provide plans , specs, networking with GC's and more.  Filter out our specific type of work which would take me days to find in just minutes.  I love them!!!

Recommendations from employees are weak.

It's "I square foot" they are a legit company. we use their service for reviewing plans and documents. Just don't sign up on their website. They have been calling me for 3 years now!

I received the same call. Know them, iSQFT. It’s a for real company and not a scam.

If you are a contractor looking to store plans and seek bids from suppliers and/or trades for a project, it might be worthwhile. If you are a supplier or trade, it's way too costly. You would do better spending some time doing your research, via the internet, and find as many general contractors (GC) as possible and ask them to place you on their bid list. The GCs would then direct you to iSQFT or other similar services where as a supplier or trade you can sign up for free to download the plans and specs.

That's what I did. In 2008, I went into business and a supplier. I spent three months looking up GCs in the region I wanted to do business. I found over 1800 GCs and sent them request to be placed on their bidder list. I receive so many bid invitations I do not need an expensive service like iSQFT or Reed or any other service to help me find jobs to bid.

Caller dialed our conference room phone, asking for someone who did not work for our company. They interrupted a meeting.

iSqFt is a legitimate company. I don't think they perform cold-calls.

They Called my Work, Too.  Although, I Didn't Answer, iSQft is a service this company uses (for free) and other general contractors.  They always want to sell you their "Premium" Service.  Which, is why I didn't Answer the Phone.  Thanks for Posting!

Caller asked to speak to the person responsible for bids.  Told her (first name) is in a meeting right now and asked her if she wanted to leave a voice mail message or call back.  She opted for voice mail.  I told her I would email my colleague to let her know she had an important message, I asked for her name and company.  She said her name is Sarah, but she did not provided her company name, stating she would send an email and abruptly hung up.  Easy enough to figure out she was at our company website and matched the info there with the name I mentioned.  When I googled the phone number on caller ID, I see that it is for software company that telemarkets.  That's all well and fine, but those sneaky tactics, Sarah and iSqFt, are RED FLAGS.  Now the real research on your company begins.

It's for an online bidding place - they wanted results from a recent bid we had out.  They also want you to "apply" for their service, which we do not do.  There are so many other places that are better than this one - if you have to join something, join something local.

They most definitely make cold calls. We have never heard of them and they called this morning. Not interested in their service.

Asked for one of our employees.  I told her he wasn't in, but that I would check.  I let her hold for 10 minutes before she gave up.

Grace asked for one of our employees.  Claimed she had spoken with him about a "plan room project" a week or so ago.  Total bull.

This appears to be isqft which is a company listing projects for bid. Used them before but do not handle bid inquiries from companies as part of my new position.
