This number is from a lady who is doing good work for the Vietnam Vets... They are looking for clothes and other goods just like Goodwill but they will come to your house and pick it up what ever you leave on your front porch...

Don't believe the "vet supporter" comment below...these people are con-artists looking to surveil your home and property. Any reputable, eelemosynary organization would make contact through the mail, i.e. viet nam veterans of america.

Don't succumb to these swindler-thieves using one of the oldest tricks in the book!  Better yet, contact your local police dept. to report suspected fraud.

Good group?????  Only 68% of funds go to projects.  The rest is profit for VVA.  It's a scam organization who are nothing but pests.

Turns out this is a front for a telephone porn site.  Report them when you get a call.

People!! This is not a scam!!!!!!!! My wife and I have been donating this this organization for about 6 years. They ask for clothing that you put in a bag that they send to you through the mail and call you for a pick up date.Set it outside and they pick it up and leave a thank you card in your door.  Thats it!!  They do not ask for money, only clothing that you do not want. Most of the comments on here, are people who DO NOT what the hell they are talking about!

I just got off the phone with the caller - I also did a donation - folks if you live in No KY then you know this organization to be legit and the idiots on this site really should  do their home work prior to making irresponsible comments.  

The HQ for this organization is near Northern Kentucky University.  In addition, I am a Vet and I know Vet's that have had to use their services - so get a life - you must have nothing to do!

Then, why are they calling from an Ohio area code?  Are they using a cellular?

Now, give us the name, physical address, and website of that "legit" organization, so we can check them out.
You MUST know that there are a LOT of "aid to vets" organizations that keep all or nearly all of the donations they receive.  Give us more info, so we can verify the legitimacy of this one.

And, yes, I DO have a "problem" with phony or semi legitimate "aid to vets" organizations, as well as with their shills.

Replying to a TWO YEAR OLD thread  makes me wonder about credibility too.

Two days have passed, and "Bill" has not returned to give us info about this charity.
One wonders, and concludes that "Bill" was merely attempting to mislead any visitors to this thread ... and, perhaps, wanted people to donate to something that existed only in his mind.

Tried to call back this number, as they are usually Vietnam Vets calling about a truck coming to my neighborhood.  However, there was no answer or answering service after many rings.  If they are legitimate, they should leave a message, otherwise they are likely a scam.

I have asked in the past that VV not call me as they tend to do so nearly every week.

Report this number and any others to tom.wheeler@fcc.org.  They will send you a form to complete so they can take action.
