I've been having a lot of trouble with these people calling my phone all the time. I think it's 'Macys' they tell you that you have a payment due and they need your credit card number and what not. I called and had them take my number off their calling list but obviously it didn't do any good.
If they're calling to ASK you for your number, they're trying to scam you. Anyone calling from any sort of "collections" will KNOW your card number. Don't give it to them.
I just called the number back.... I know BRAVE! But I have been getting 8 to 10 phone calls a day. I just payed the rest of my bill off through online billing with Macys. I let the person know that I was talking to that I had payed it off and asked them to take me off their list. If I get phone calls tomorrow they will be answered NOT NICELY! I am a cop and getting phone calls 24/7 is UNCALLED FOR!
DUDE! They call me every day, 10 times per day. I pay my bill for Macys every month, on time. I refuse to answer as I know it will enrage me to argue with these people. By the way, it is illegal for bill collectors to due business this way, in a harassing maner.

I'm not calling them because it is a long distance number and I don't want to be pay for the call.
Since they "hang up" after the phone rings 4 times, I adjusted the answering machine to pick-up after 3 rings. Maybe they'll enjoy paying for the call. It probably won't matter much to them if they take over a phone number to make their calls. But I have to do something to discourge them.
I set up my answering machine to pick up after 3 rings instead of the 4 that "macy's" allows before hanging up. I must have caught them napping because I was able to get a couple of seconds of someone talking in the background before they hung up. Hopefully someone will get a long distance bill and it'll put an end to this!
this is macy's collection. we forgot/misplaced out macy's bill....they will keep calling you until they speak to a live person....then when they get a date for when you are going to make payment, then the calls cease...of course, until you miss paymnet again. bastards
Our scenario - They called and asked for a payment which was paid on time. Followed up with Macy's customer service and found that our paymant was applied to a second account we had with no balance (curious). Asked for the payment to be transfered from one account to the other - just happened to be the exact amount. We have also asked Macy's to cancel our account(s) and will no shop there due to the "hateful" collection department.
They call you because YOU DIDNT PAY a payment DUH!! At this point you have BAD credit and cant afford to pay it off. Dumb A**! So stop acting like you dont know who it is and why they are calling you
Someone from this number keeps callilng me -- but if it is Macy's that doesn't make any sense as my account is in good standing. Any idea who else it could be?
this is a credit card scam, unfortionatly i fell for it. they call if you do not answer they leave a message to call them at an 800 number. they ask your name, and your card number about 7 times, they repeat it incorrectly, then have you say it again, then they have your number, then they ask for a landline phone number without area code, then when i realized what was happening they asked for my social security number, and after that i hung up, they continue to call everyother day, however today when they called i confronted the girl about it, she acte like she didnt know what was going on and after i continued to be rude to her she hung up, this is a scam, but part of the scam may be being charged insaine amounts on your phone bill when you return their call
Thanks for your information. I went on GOOGLE to see where the number comes from, and it brought up this site , that's when I saw your comments. I also have a MACY'S account. :)
OMG! I read all the comments above and can't believe this! I paid my Macy's bill everytime they sent it to me in full and for the past 2 months they keep sending me invoices that I still owe them money. Now they call my home and cell. Today I called and asked to speak with a manager/supervisor. Asked her to send me in writing why I still owe them money..the lady told me she adjusted my account and have a zero balance now...guess what? I still got 2 phone calls after that, today. How do u make a stop to this? Enough is enough. Why should I be the one to change my home/cell numbers because of this idiots? What a bad customer service!
I have worked inside of a Macys for a year and a half at a Sunglass Hut. I am not part of Macys, but am still located inside of it. If you are having this problem(as I was) was going to cancel my card. Like i said, if they tell you they are not able to do anything, that is a lie. They can do something, they are just lazy. I no longer get those calls, and I now have a free $500 dollars to spend at Macys
