Caller identified himself as with Time Warner, wanted to offer additional services. We do have TWC internet, and would be interested in pricing TV and telephone. He advised that he would need me to identify myself by giving personal information including address. Seems strange since he would have my account information. I asked that he first identify himself so I would know he is a legitimate representative of TWC. He said this is against company policy.
I advised it is against my policy to give out personal information to unidentified callers - and hung up.

Received a call from Jessica stating that she was with Time Warner Cable and was doing a check up on my account, I asked for what reason and she said she would first need my social security number and address to access my account. ?!?!? I said to her, you called me so don't you have my account information already, she said yes but wanted to make sure it was me talking to her. I told her I had just upgraded my service 2 days ago and everything was fine. She replied with " well I can't verify that without you giving me your information" I hung up and called TWC directly and they showed no record of calling me.

I just received a phone call from a woman who said she was with Time Warner Cable.  She asked me to verify my social security number over the phone so she could access my account and make sure I was getting the best services.  I've never had to verify my social security number with TWC in my 20 years with them. I immediately hung up.

I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. I will call them back later today to get on THEIR nerves.
