Sick Of Toyota - 20 Jun 2008I freakin hate toyota and their dialer, if you ever call and talk to them at the 800 number, your in trouble. I have never given them my cell number, but as soon as I was over 30 days late with my payment, they went back to their phone records to see where I've been contacting them from and have used it to repeatly call me.

DD Shaw - 7 Aug 2008My daughter is two weeks late on her payment and they are calling her. The last time that they called (a few months ago), I spoke to Toyota and they told me that she didn't owe the late charges that the person at this number was asking for. As a matter of fact she paid what they were asking and the billing people told her she didn't owe anything, that her account didn't show any late charges or anything like that. They credited her with a partial payment toward her next payment.
I'm wondering if this is a legitimate collection agency. I've never heard of a company turning someone over to collections for being two weeks late, when the car is almost paid off. Toyota says that they don't know anything about them.

DD Shaw - 7 Aug 2008The woman called after five and asked to speak to my husband, who signed for our daughter's car loan. She spoke to me anyway. She said that my daughter was two weeks late on her payment. I said that I would pass on the message. An hour later a man called and told me that the calls would not stop until I gave them a check number or credit card to make the payment. They have called once an hour from five to nine, two nights in a row.
They did this once before, telling us that my daughter owed numerous late payments from over a year ago that were accruing interest. She called Toyota and tried to pay these late charges. They said that she didn't owe anything and that they didn't think that the calls came from Toyota. We told them that if they call again, we are going to call the police.
