- Andy| 7 repliesThese people keep phoning. They say they are from "Merchant Services", whatever that's supposed to imply. They ask for the owner by name, which they probably gleaned from our Dun & Bradstreet listing or something similar.

The number displayed on your phone is not necessarily the number assigned by their phone service provider, but a digital 'alias' for lack of better description.
Telemarketing firms represent many different companies, so the same firm can call for different programmes.

I just got the call from 514-315-2935... The guy was supposedly selling master card/debit card systems to business. I was able to place a word or two and asked for his name, company name and phone number. He told me to visit their web site instead. I wrote it down and then went on the web… it’s a porn site! - WhitbyI received two calls last, the last one today. When I picked up the phone nobody replied - a silence.

I received several calls from this number, always with nobody on the other end. I called them back and spoke to some high school dropout. I asked to be removed from their calling list. She asked if I had a business that accepts Visa and MasterCard. I told her I did, but was not interested in using their services. "Even if you can save 15-20%?" she asked.
"Yes, because I do not do business with people who call me soliciting business. If I want something I'll find who I choose to do business with."
"We're not 'solicitating', we're a business calling other businesses." she said back.
"First of all, there is no such word as 'solicitating', it's 'soliciting', and that's exactly what you are doing when you call another company hoping to SOLICIT business. You might want to buy a dictionary."

- AndyThese annoying telemarketers have been phoning us repeatedly since the beginning of October. If you ask them to identify themselves they just ignore you and continue with their sales pitch, which consists mainly of asking lots of questions about our credit card processing. We have told them to stop calling us countless times, but like any other lowlife, they ignore our requests and keep pestering us.

Very rude people. Suspicious too.
Got a call from them about 20min ago and called them back about 5-6x to get my business number off their calling list. Each time they said they were going to transfer me to the right person (because 0 does not bring you to an operator, so I tried technical support) but they hung up on me. Last try worked! Apparently I'm officially off their list.
I've been reading the other posts about this number and I suspect a fake credit card terminal company just trying to get personal company information. Let's just hope they don't call back!

Which brings me to ask, if random, slightly shady, mysterious phone calls aren't a bother or concern, why are you here to be able to post to begin with?

Word of mouth if you haven't heard of it. Something tells me you're one of those cheesy salesmen who thinks women don't have any buying power too...

saying about them - MarieThey called me few times, today the guy (Eric) was so rude... he told me that i didn't understand what he was saying, he asked me if i care about losing $... I told him that he was the one who did not understand, that i guess i wanted to lose $, so he asked to talk to my boss, he said that he probably will be interest on saving cash! I told him that i was the owner, and he continue to argue... so i hung up... poor guy !
