I placed an ad to sell my vehicle in the auto trader and I get a text from this number.
The text has an email address and asks for information on my vehicle.
I send some description to the email. The response to the email was to send money via western union for shipping and he'll add it to the purchase price.
This is a SCAM!!!!!

Kijiji scammer!! Don't send him anything!

This is a scam. Texted me about my motorcycle on Auto Trader. Wanted me to email them at Karrenjane@outlook.com. Text was vague. I emailed back it is available. I gave no details and they didn't respond. 514 is Quebec and I'm near Toronto. These people are criminals.

They asked to come and see the bike over the weekend. Started a conversation with karrenjane@outlook.com.... googled the email address and it is scam.

Just got the same thing:

BUT... came from different telephone number 514-437-1760???

same kind of messaging for me but different phone number. Same area code same email karrenjane@outlook.com

I got the same text but from +1 (514) 437-3532.  Sounds like a scam to me!

I received four text which were all the same in some respect,

Of course written as such I knew buyer beware and check the numbers, names and emails.

This joker texted me from 5144168681. He is now threatening me over email that if I don't send him money to enclose this transaction he will report me to PayPal and take legal action. I responded letting him know this is a scam and I will report him to RCMP

I received a similar text message from : 613-917-7175 for a bike i had posted sale on Kijiji.ca with the same corresponding e-mail : Karrenjane@outlook.com

Got a VERY SIMILAR message for furniture I posted in Kijiji. karen Jane and her husband were interested, but I was suspicious because their texto came from a Mtl based cell phon.They said they would pay i advance then have the furniture shipped to Cape breton ! they asked I give my email and paypal information. Thanks to this site, it's confirmed it's a SCAM.

As we all know it's a scam. No one buys a car/truck sight unseen. Time to cut through the dead wood. Text them back - On the phone & In person only. No text. No email.

Reponded to a Kijiji ad I had going for a motorcycle - I'm in Alberta (this is just another scammer). They wanted me to email them at: marrysmithmarrysmith@outlook.com

Same for me.  Selling a vehicle and was texted about an hour after posting from 514-416-9627.  "do you still have your cars and trucks for sale? Me and my son are interested please call my son or email me back at morencyrussell@outlook.com"

Thanks for all the posts, confirmed my suspicions.  Delete text.

Just got the same thing ! They have now changed it karrenjane1@outlook.com haha big change right ! Had them reply to my dirtbike sight on seen. Saying it was her and the husband n they would need it to be shipped to Cape Breton. Hopefully these people get caught up with some day and the strong hand of the working man that works for his stuff beats these cyber scammers to the point of not breathing.. I received the same type of text shortly after posting on Kijiji. Realized quickly that this was a scam and was confirmed by this blog. Thanks. The thing to look for is they do not reference the item specific. They reference the category that the item is listed under. Received text from 1-514-416-8909 with the email address morencyrussell@outlook.com. SELLER BEWARE...

Same thing from 514-437-3106. New e-mali addres they are using: clarawilliams3@outlook.com.
