Received call from this no. at 12.23 pm in BC. No voice or message. Reverse Phone Lookup suggests no such number for either a business or person, but it's showing clearly in my list of calls received. No. is in Montreal.

1:49 P.M. CST in Saskatoon, SK, Canada received call from this number.  When I called it back thre was just the rapid beep of a forwarded number.  Suspicious.....left no message...

Well, I listened through the message so I can enlighten you all about this scam.....

First - I've had numerous calls from various area codes in Washington state with this same scam. It is being run all over the US and Canada. This is my first call for the Canadian version, however.

It goes this way....If you would please answer a few questions on our survey you will get a free cruise. OKAY .... that should alert almost every human that this is a criminal scam. Imagine the cost per participant to carry out this "survey". Impossible for any legitimate researcher! So the scammers must be after something else and guess what it is....you got it...your credit card info. To get the cruise, you will have to give a cc number to the criminals.

After taking this bogus survey (more about that later), I was congratulated on my stellar performance and told to stay on the line so I could be transferred to someone who would give me my cruise. However, all I got was a busy signal. Too bad, I was all set to give a venomous spew of profanity to the person who answered.

The survey questions are complex (the style is complex not the subject matter) and this is a big no-no for any real survey. These people are running a scam and have zero interest in your opinion about anything. The questions are about current politics (the US version is about US politics and many Canadians are being contacted about it which only makes them more suspicious - why does the US care about Canadian views??)

So bottom line....keep your distance from these criminals. And remember, there are no free lunches (or cruises, or airmile points, or Walmart club points , or ........)

They informed me i had won a free cruise.. i hung up

Just received a phone call from this number in Ontario on Thurs July 19 at 10:38am.  When I said hello,they hung up.

Call on July 19/012 from # 514 447 8035. No message on answering system. Scam... using also # 202 496 0484 and # 971 208 9999

Receiving phone calls from 517-447-8035 and 971-208-999 for three days - no answer when I pick up the phone .

No message it is unknown for me.

I just received a call from 514 447 8035 ignored it and there is no message.  Glad I checked it out to discover this scam seem to be going around this time of year

Am in Toronto. This is my daily and I do mean DAILY call for the survey/free cruise fraud. Simply an attempt to get your credit card number for 'port fees" after which they hit you up for as much as $1000. They use a different phone number each day, so blocking the number is useless. Normally the calls come from a Washington  or Oregon State area code. Today they are using a spoofed Montreal number figuring, I guess, that Canadians are more likely to answer. You can google love boat scam, any you will see that the Washington state Attorney General is aware - not that seems to be helping.

Have been recieving calls from this number for several days now but I never answer as I don't know who they are.
I don't know name of company but know it is a scam and wish someone would see what is going on with this caller.

I just got this call in Toronto too. Details the same as those above me. Here's a simple and FREE service few know about in Canada at least. *60. It's an old hold over service from when the "star" services were first created and thankfully Bell Canada has hung on to it. Those of you on Rogers or another phone provider (including cell) don't have it to my knowledge. Probably one of the few reasons I stay with Bell. And no, I need my land line for business purposes. *60 can block up to 12 numbers for free so they don't even get through to you. Keep a list of the numbers you've blocked and once the list is full, go back and delete the oldest one. Then you can keep adding one at a time. It took me a year to fill my list thanks to DNC and my number being unlisted. Keep in mind that if this scam is run from outside Canada or the US, there's nothing our governments can do about it. The DNC list is useless in this case. In the case of Bell, we can at least advise them of the problem and they usually kill the number. But the scammers just register another number afterwards. And the world keeps turning...

I am from Ontaio and the same thing just happened to today, but I recieved the call at 3.34 p.m.

Received a call at 3:34pm today but didn't answer.  Called the number right back and a recording said, "You where contacted for a survey, the time has passed for you to participate".  Hate scams!

Just received the call in Northeastern Ontario too!

just got a call, at 10:30pm. on a normal night, i would have been in bed. this is really uncool.

Just rec'd a call at 10:30 pm also....only have cordless phone which was dead...saw call display on my TV and came to google the number...
I am normally never in bed at this time...still.... really uncool....

I just received this call here in Campbell's Bay, Que.  No one was online, so I hung up and decided to google it here. Thanks all for this post. I blocked it by using the block feature that comes with my Panasonic cordless phone. Stupid humans these scammers!

I just received this call here in Quebec city. About survey... I hung up immediatly. And it's really uncool.

Yep gotta a call today, Had the handy smoke alarm nearby. Bet they dont call back anytime soon
