this call woke me up - 15 Jun 2007I just called the number back and got an automated message explaining that it's for a telemarketing company and that you can request to be placed on their do not call list by dialing another number.

Brian - 15 Jun 2007I phoned this number earlier and it was busy. This number has since phoned again when I was at work. I phoned it back and it said that it was a local number! How can it be a local number (519 area code here) when it has a 514 area code (Montreal QC area)? Probably a telemarketer for sure. I have a new(er) 519-208 number that I was told is not logged in anyones database...it was good while it lasted!

Matt - 3 Aug 2007This number is from telemarketing firm Media Express. They are calling HBC card holders. I asked to be put on the do not call list but they would not give me the CRTC required confirmation number. I spoke with supervisor Kathleen McGinnon and she said that their firm did not release confirmation numbers.
