I first got a call from this number a few weeks ago, then one last week, then one yesterday and one today. I have no idea who it is, although the area code is the same as mine. Anyone?

the same just happened to me during a meeting, was wondering if it could be my sister from montreal so i googled it...and here i am

I got a creepy voicemail from bell saying that someone was moving into my house and therefore wanted to set up their phone line.
Nobody is moving in to my house for at least another 3 weeks.
Then I got another voicemail from someone saying he was a bell technician saying that they know that I'm moving and want me to confirm the work order.
Then I called bell technical support and they said that there were no work orders to that address and that they had no idea what I was talking aobut. When I checked the call display I got this number.

Kind of creepy.

Received 5 calls today from this guy. First answer hang up. Second did not say anything i hang up. Third time i did not answer. Fourth time i did not answer. Fifth time i answered he asked for Larry or Larree. Told him he had wrong number and told him to f**** Off. Told him i knew his number and would bust his balls if called me back. He never called me back. You have to scare these a*sholes before they creep on you.

They called once a week at 9h15 AM since more than one year. This morning I just tried 1-866-793-7402 to be removed from the automatic call list, let see what will happen!

Just got a call sounds like: "- Because of your moving you do not need an appointment! You will receive the service and you do NOT NEED  AN APPOINTMENT! Have a nice day!"
This is a first time call for me and it was a younger woman voice. But what the hell it is about? What service? What moving? Who is playing around the numbers punching? Is here any possibility to prevent those peoples to have fun on us?

This is completely bogus, the number may be phished and the concept is to get personal information. If you feel threatened at any time by a call press *57 afterwards and it will be referred to the police, you may also phone busters and your local police, CRTC and BELL head office.  Never give out any information on who you are or even agree that you are the person they are asking for, never say you like the service of or are a customer of a given business.

I would also add that if you do not have a secure locking mailbox, or inside through the door secure mailbox that you use a post office box as there are some criminals now going through mail for personal information.

Also ask yourself how you would find information on someone else and then take "be proactive" steps to make your life and property more secure using this information.  Its only going to get worse so we might as well try to protect ourselves in any way we can.

Its not a game as some people seem to think....................

This was a man saying that my credit was very good since I did not have a balance total of accounts over $3,000.00. When I asked him who the H--- he was the line was just disconnected. Be aware/proactive and protect yourself and your family, never do anything over the phone, NEVER..... You never know who you are talking with, there validity or actually who they are!!
