Just got a call

I've been getting these calls 3 times aday. I don't even answer the phone. I figure its fraud. We don't have any Wells Fargo Accounts.

This is an attempt to scam identity info that can be used to set up fraud accounts. Wells Fargo does not conduct collections in this manner.

This must be a scammer pretending to be WF bank. All phone numbers listed on WF's website  https://www.wellsfargo.com/help/phone_dir  are toll-free numbers so I doubt that the real WF bank will ever use a non-toll-free number as a call-back number.

Just received a call on both my cell and work number (back to back). I spoke with Wells Fargo this morning using their 800 number. I checked these comments and also found that WF would not use a 515 area code. There was no message left on either number. I am in good standing with WF by the way!!!

Two calls today from this number on my cell. I have not in the past nor currently have any account relationship with WF Bank. I have also received calls from 503-605-8776, which is also allegedly a collection number for Wells Fargo.

Has called on my cell phone 3 x in the last week.  Female voice says she's calling from Wells Fargo"  "If you're _________, press 5; if not press 1.  Nothing else!!  I don't have any dealings with Wells Fargo.

Obviously a scam, I'm not anywhere near Iowa.

515 221 4958 is not a wellsfargo number. the people who say it is are the people behind the scam. DO NOT give your information to them!!!!!!!!!! Just call your brand if you want to make sure everything is okay.

Ah Wells Fargo will never just outright ask you for you SS# if you call customer service... there's a 1800 for them so i'll go there thank you very much.

and they called at 8:39pm. per FDCA debt collectors can only call from 8am to 9pm on the consumers local time..

so whoever is calling from this number if it is a debt collector..guess what? you just violated FDCA

Don't give them any info. It's a scam. After being harassed by this number, I went into a Wells Fargo branch, showed them the number, they said no way it's theirs. Watch out.

it is wells fargo--I called back and they were actually looking for my ex (I have the phone # now)--he overdrew his acct for like a month now and they are calling about that.  I don't know why it is from a 515 # but they had his info--i did not give my ss# when they asked--told them I wont do that-then I asked who they were trying to reach at this # and they said my ex's name--

this is a legit number, I am overdraft and was a courtesy call to advise me of it... I already knew of my overdaft...

I do have a Wells Fargo account and it is overdrawn but I don't trust this because of the other comments on here I think I will call  the 800 number and speak with someone from customer service

NOT Wells Fargo... Talked to the fraud dept and collections dept and they both said that they don't have a 515 area code or this number. Both departments asked if I thought my accounts were compromised and I told them that I was not sure as I have not spoken to this number. They were very helpful and advised me NOT to provide ANY info as both depts have my personal information and would NEVER ask for SSN or acct info. They would ask for security info like personal security questions. THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT RESPOND. DO NOT ANSWER and BLOCK THEM. Be safe and smart.

I am receiving calls from this number and they claim they are Wells Fargo. THEY ARE NOT WELLS FARGO.

This number has started to call me at least 2 to 3 times a day. Called me last night at 8:55pm....they never leave a message. The calls started about a week ago.

I just spoke with fraud department . It is not Wells Fargo . The number has been reported to reportphishing@wellsfargo.com
They do not call for ordinary things , ever.

I don't know anybody in Iowa. I called back and got weird message.. one is not a ?

I did to its a scam trying to steal people's money
