Phone rang and when I answered, no one was there. If this is indeed Mediacom, how do I get them to stop bothering me?

yeah they called me 6 times within 2 hours. I've asked them to stop many times and they wont! UGH

Got a call today. I called back thinking it was about my bill but it was a promotional offer.

They keep doing the same thing to me.  They call. When I answer they hang up on me and they never leave a message.  I've asked them in the past to not call me and they did. Now this is just annoying!!

Just received a call from them, and it's Mediacom.  I called the number back and received the message "You've received a call from Mediacom, with a promotional offer you may qualify for . . . we'll try again at another time."  No, that's okay - thanks anyway.  :-)

Yeah I keep getting stupid promotional offers from them too.  I don't know how many times I have to tell them "NOT INTERESTED" before it's drilled through their skulls.  The worst part is I work nights and so these phone calls usually wake me up!

Received a call today at 1:04.  Was having a long-awaited lunch w/a friend and I didn't answer it.  Wouldn't have anyway because it's not a number that's in my phone.  If it's not in my phone, I don't need to talk to them.  Good to know that this is Mediacom.  I've told them REPEATEDLY I'm not interested in their "promotions", "deals" or anything they have to offer.  Guess they have a quota of calls they need to make.  At least the people doing the calling are working.  Still won't make me answer it but everyone needs something to do.

This is Mediacom spamming their customers with unwanted telemarketing calls. You need to tell them about 15 times that you don't want them calling you before they actually listen. Just be really firm and say under no circumstances do you want them calling you again. SO rude.

I got a call at today @ 1153 PST, I did not answer it and no voice mail was left. Then again @ 1418 PST but I answered this time, A gal by the name of Nicole from Mediacom wanted to know if I'd be interested on additional services.

I asked to be deleted from their list, she said it'd take 30 days due to being outsourced blabber and that she'd start my request right away.

The whole conversation was very polite and professional on both ends. We will see what happens now.

Received two calls from 515-222-1349 today.  They did not leave a message.  I researched the number, and found it was a Mediacom telemarketer.  I logged into my Mediacom account and left them a message telling them to stop.  If they don't, I'm switching to Qwest DSL.

i have seen this number several times in the last few days and tonight got a weird feeling it was the quarterly annoyance call from mediacom, i did not call back but decided to see if i could find out who it was from the internet ... and here i am

the fact that others have had this problem lets me know i will let them waste their time trying to reach me and not answer the phone, in this economy the phone people need work but i do not have to respond ... every time they call, i tell them i do not have a TV nor do i have a land line so i do not NEED their special bundle; 3 times i have asked them to make a note of it and not bother me again ... i hope when i move i can get a different internet provider, mediacom is the only one that covers the apartment building i am in now ... just another reason to finally move.

Media Con (intentional) again.  They should get a life.  WORST company on the planet.

Indeed 515-222-1349 is mediacom promotional bs.  I just never answer.

2 missed calls from this number recently Also 5 missed calls from 5152466412 which is also Mediacom. I sent the a cease and desist message to their sales department on their website. Hopefully they will stop.

Yes it is Mediacom.  They call on average once per quarter or 4 times a year.  This doesn't mean 4 total calls, it means 4 total attempts to reach you.  If you don't answer they will call again, up to 8 times.  With Mediacom or any other company who makes telemarketing calls, you just have to answer the phone and tells them you don't want to be called again.  If you call this phone # and actually LISTEN to the message it gives you another phone # if you want to contact Mediacom - you can call and leave a message asking not to be called again.  The calls may take up to 30 days to stop but most likely you won't get any more calls.  

It's not rocket science - just answer your phone calls.  Tell them you aren't interested and they won't call again for several weeks or even months.  Tell them not to call you anymore and they won't.  It's much less effort than whining and researching namelessly on the internet.

I have a block on my with that number.  That pretty much stops the calls from coming in.

Keep getting calls from this number. They do not leave a message. I don't know them. Mediacom? Just know that I don't answer #s I don't know.

This is Mediacom calling with special offers.  They will keep calling until they speak with you.  The key is to let the recording go all the way through then wait for the sales rep to come on.  At that point you can tell them never to call you with a promotional offer ever again.

I keep receiving calls from this number. Every time I pick up they hang up. I had to use star 69 to find out who it was since I don't have caller ID. Why would somebody from Mediacom hang up on me? Whatever. I least I know who it is now.

They have called everyday for the last three weeks.
