He forwarded the message to the city police, because the Kelty's live in the city limits.

Why don't you just buy whatever it is these people are calling you about and trace where the money goes if you really want to get to the bottom of this.

The jerk has been calling my 10 year old daughters cell phone and has been told how old she is and to stop calling.I work for the phone company and when I got into work today I did a search the phone number is out of Cedar Rapids Iowa it is a land line and The phone company the number is with is Communications 1 I gave this information to the police detective and he is calling up to the Cedar Rapid Police right now and check the 911 data base. this guy has called my daughter 20 times. I tried my local carriers "trace service" - but their annoyance calls bureau was unable to help - same with local police - as I am NOT in Iowa. So I called the Iowa Utilities Board and started tracking this number.
Someone named Kah Phan bought a block of approx. 1,000 phone numbers from rural Iowa telecommunications companies and is RE-SELLING to foreign companies who are using VOIP (Voice over internet protocal) and using that Iowa number as a jumping off point (for caller ID purposes) FROM a foreign country (most likely) to avoid the Do Not Call Registry. Whoever bought this number from Kah Phan is the culprit.
The number was origninally owned by Iowa Telecom - who sold the Corwith, IA exchange to Communications 1. Communications 1 sold the block to Webpoint Communications who IS working with several State's Attorney General Offices in numerous states to try to find out WHO is really using this number and put a stop to it.
Complain to your OWN States Attorney General's office and if you have further info on who is actually making these calls - call Webpoint Communications (they are NOT the "bad guy" - they ARE trying to get this stopped) at 641-983-2030 - but ONLY call them if you are willing to give them your contact info in case you are needed when and if they are able to prosecute these people using 1-515-364-6750. (And hopefully one of you have been able to get some other info out of these people using this number - they won't talk to me - as they are calling for my husband)

After you type a bunch of passwords, all of them wrong, it than disconnects you. I don't know about their system, but some phone systems, after a password is attempted a bunch of times, it locks up the voice mail feature, and the client has to call the phone company to have the password reset. WebPoint provides a free internet phone service. It's for incoming calls. It's also utilize by battered women to maintain their privacy.
Foreign companies are taking our numbers and utilizing it as their caller ID. It has nothing to do with us selling them a service nor are they making calls through us. We have been working with other states attorney general's offices to track people down.
We respond to everyone that calls our office to compile information about the calls. Generally people don't call you unless they are selling something and we try to trace the money trail to get to the source of the calls.

All of the information listed on Zabasearch is public information. Zabasearch is also just a search engine and not a database.
