receive a call that had part of Obama's speech, and then telemarking call that said "press 2" to take off list....Pressed 2, but got another call, from same number, about an hour later. Pressed 1 to ask a person to take me off the list and was hung up on after a rude comment.

These people called me too.I didn't pick up.Five minutes later they call again.I said to myself if they call again I'm calling the cops.I don't think it's a simple sample phone call.In my opinion it is either a prank call,an important issue,or the newest idiot scam.

this is a company by the name od mortgage solutions. the call contains a segment od Obama's speech. i hit 2 the first time and then got another call on the next day and every day since its a small company in demoines Iowa. I would advise you to press 1 if you are called once and be very polite ask them to remove you from the list. it hasnt helped me but neither has being upset with them. otherwise you will be put on the call everyday list. ive been told F&CK OFF we will call you tomorrow and to shut the F up among fome other things. I asked to speak witrh a manager and ive spoken to 5 or 6 people that claimed to be a manager but im still on the list and seeing as their reported employees average between 10-20 i would say that this is either an outsourced telemarketing firm or just a bunch of A holes. I will let you guys know if i find their real number then we can all call them or even better find the company's tax list and get their employees home numbers to call them at home during dinner like they have done to me every night for the past few weeks.

What you do is if these people call back be cool with them at first and you do a sales pitch back to them.   Tell them you received a missed call from them.  

What are you offering?  Please give me the name of your company.   Don't give them any of your information.   If they still proceed to do it, I would just hang up.  

By hitting 2 won't do anything as your number is redirected to them  just like the Jamaicans are pulling that other scam.  Do Not Call list I am curious about b/c your being watched and so its technology

Same as last one.  They call as many as 12 times a day.  Anytime between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM  including Saturday.

Regarding mortgages...had an option of being taken off the calling list, although we opted for that..the calls kept coming.

it was a call from "we are calling from your president" or some such crap.  I can't get it to stop  any suggestions??

We got a call from President Obama and they asked if we wanted help to press 1 so I pressed 1 and they were telemarketers and I am on the No Call Register and they now call me all the time and they will not stop --Oh -please make them stop make them stop--- Oh please --we are old and they call us all the time and they want us to remortgage our house and we do not want to

The [***] keep calling us too and will not stop and they are scum sucking telemarketers who will not go out and get real jobs--they just want to rip people off

I also have been getting calls from this number. Have pressed 2 to be removed. I hope to catch the next call and I will mention that the number will be given to my lawyer. I can hear what they will say in return, which I'm sure won't be pretty on their end.

this is a constant and ongoing problem. How do I make these harassing calls stop

i have been gettingthe calls for about 2 months.  first time i got one i pushed 2 to be added to their DNC list -- got my second call that day and they have not stopped.  i actually have spoken to three ppl there now and all of htem have been no brain idiots -- but i'm sure the info -- although it always matched what the other ppl said is a lie.... Here's how our converstaoins go:

WHo are you and why are you calling me?
"We are in Houston Texas, are a mkting firm, would like to help you with your mortgage problems.  WE take all you pertinent mortgage info and then pass it on to a law firm, a team of lawyers that we are working for.  They will you within in 48 hours to set up an appt with them to discuss lowering my interest rate."

Really?  Very interesting.  Is this because you have stimulus money to give away? HOw much does this cost me?
"The fees vary based on your mortgage ma'am.  From about 1000 to 2000 dollars.  I can't tell you how much your fee will be."

INtersesting again.  What is your name?
"James".  Carrie". Thomas". (i've gotten three humans)

Each one starts with "A message from our President" and then a part of his speech and some crap about federal stimulus money.

Ya know, what really pisses me off is that we have not been stupid with our money, we are debt free, own a house, cars and ext and have NO BILLS.  WE didn't over spend of buy too much and we don't want nor need any taxpayer bailout --- THe whole thing is crap anyway, and look at the every day frustrations it has caused for all of us just about PHONE CALLS!!!!!  

I have reported them to the TX Attorney General -- nothing they can do I"m told.
I reported them to my phone company - nothing they can do (but my phone number is being changed).
I reported them to my local law enforcement, nothing they can do because they are not threatening me with bodily harm.

I am officially threatening THEM with bodily harm!!!!  I want the calls to stop!!! I work from home, using my phone, and it is screwing up my work.
