Call from this # was a scam about automobile "check-up"

Got a call from this number and when I tired to call right back voice recording says their office is closed with no company name or option to leave a message to be taken off of do not call list.

Called doing a vehicle check up on my vehicle I bought from Karl Chevrolet roughly 2 yrs ago sound like the guy was in a diner where I could hear plates n silverware clanking the guy also had a strong foreign accent n I could hardly understand him. I said I no longer had the vehicle so he asked I what I currently had and I asked why he wanted to know and then he hung up

I just got a call from this number on my cellphone the guy was asking for my dad and I thought it had to do with my car because he's name is on it too, but then they started talking about my dads car.  The guy had a thick accent and wouldn't listen to me when I said he had the wrong number and that wasn't my car and then when I asked to speak to a manager he said that they were unavaliable.  

I just missed a call from this number on my cell. When I tried to return the call I got a recording stating that the office (no business name stated) was closed. The recording stated to call back M-F 7-4pm Pacific Time. EVEN THOUGH THEY JUST CALLED!

Called asking about vehicle registration. Very heavy accent with lots of commotion in the background. When I told him I couldn't understand him, he said &^%$ and hung up. Called back to find out the company and got message that the office was closed, it gave hours of operation referenced PST. Scam of some sort.

Just got a call from this number on my cell. Think it is a scam of some kind. I called right back and the message said they were closed....

Missed call from this number. Tried to call back and got voicemail advising company was closed and provided business hours (pacific). 515 is in a central time zone. Unable to leave message.

Same thing happened to me. It's got to be a scam. I called back and got same message about office being closed. This is only minutes after I hung up on the guy with the thick accent.

They called at 5:45pm.  I missed the call and when I called it back I got a message saying they close at 4:00pm.  No chance to leave message and no business name.  Clearly a scam.

Same happened to me.  I'm from the Ames area.  Obviously a dirt bag hustling good people.  Scam for sure.

Call received during lunch hour. No caller identity except phone number. Assume it was solicitor call.

I have received multiple calls from this number and also got the message saying their office was closed. I answered it today and told them that I knew they were a scam and that didn't make him very happy. Do not give them any information!

A man with a thick heavy accent called me. He had my name and vehicle model with the incorrect make though and was requesting for the total mileage on my vehicle. Stating they have a warranty check-up/update but couldn't provide me any information about what they were trying to offer, unless I gave my mileage, which refused. Sounded like he was in a restaurant. Could hear loud clanking of silverware. Tried to call back, says their office hours are 7am-4pm and they are currently closed. They called my 12pm and i called right after I hung up... SCAM.

Calling daily, missed it the first time and looked it up on here,  now I'll never answer it.

I got a call from this number on my cell phone at 9:51 am (Central Time) but did not recognize it so let it go. When I tried to return the call a few minutes later I got a recording stating that the office (no business name stated) was closed. The recording stated to call back M-F 7-4 pm Pacific Time. Received a couple calls from this number and today I answered the call.  It was a man with a thick heavy accent and a lot of back ground noise.  I think someone on here said it sounded like he was in a restaurant....I would have to agree.  He had my name, vehicle make and model.  It sounded like he was calling to extend my warranty and wanted to know how many miles my vehicle had.  I thought this was odd because I have 2 yrs left on my vehicle's warranty.  

I hung up and called the number back.  The recording indicated they were closed.  Their office hours are 7 am to 4 pm pacific time.  I called at 11:45 am central time which is 9:45 am pacific--definitely within business hours.  

I blocked the number!

I guess all of you answered my question. I haven't answered but received the same message when I called back.

Received a call today. I answered it with our companies name and they hung up
