NO you have NOT. I knew it, you are buttering me up for the kill! Put me on your do not call list and don't ever call me for anything ever again.

My cell number evidently used to be for a local lawn care service.  I get calls for them all the time.  This one was a classic.  Guy calls and asks for Tom at Blankety-Blank Lawn Care.  I told him that their number has changed and that I get calls for him all the time.  He said it's probably because Tom owes them money too.  And that he (the person I was speaking with) "wasn't the kinda guy you owe money to and just disappear, if you get my drift".  And that if I ever by any chance speak with Tom, to tell him that "Big Benny" is looking for him.  That call cracked me up.

Asks for "Bob", which owner doesn't go by.  Then after I ask to take a message for the owner who isn't available he tells me he is with Western Contractors and wants to give us a job and he wants the owners cell #.  I asked again for his information and refuse to give out the owners cell # and explain that I can I have the owner return his call.  He asks if thats how we do business and then he said he would take his business elsewhere and hung up.

Guy said he was Dale Worthey or Wurley.   VERY rude.  Wanted my husband's cell phone and when I wouldn't give it to him he asked me if I was this rude to all customers?  Complete jerk.

The call came in as 'unavailable' so my wife (in a playful mood , I guess) picked up the phone and told them we do not accept calls from 'unavailable', then hung up.  The guy called right back and told her he was planning to give us a big order (we are self-employed) but that since she was so rude, he wouldn't give us a dime!  My wife was very relieved to find out that it was a scam!  From now on, 'unavailable' means 'unanswered'!!

Second call from the unknown "Dan, from Western Contractors," both on weekdays within an hour of the same time.  Caller ID shows "IOWA CALL," and the caller always asks for the owner of our company by first name (although not what customers, family, and legitimate business partners know him as).  Not an especially gifted telemarketer, Dan speaks with a very effeminate lisp and clearly doesn't have the first clue about proper business telephone etiquette, likely as the product of a marriage between siblings, or at the very least, first cousins.  Sad, really, but an excellent example of the urgent need for random drug-testing of telemarketers, or at least confirmation of membership in the human gene pool.

515-446-7887 - someone from this number just called my wifes phone and asked for "dave". when she told him it was a wrong number, the caller called her a "[***]!" When I tried calling the number back I was informed the number was no good.  Does anyone know how to track this guy down? email me at cyrusesq@gmail.com. man called my wife asking for "dave". she told him he had the wrong number and he called her a [***]. Caller says name is Dale Murphy from Big State. Caller ID shows Iowa (used to be Arizona) but if you call the number appearing it says the number is disconnected. Constantly calling we have asked him to stop-we hung up on him -tried blocking the calls- not answering the calls-called our local telephone company to no avail. This guy is rude and uses profanity and doesn't take no for an answer. Blah blah blah. We are a small business and really need our telephone number for business. Any suggestions?

We have had these people call before trying to get us to buy a first aid kit that was too expensive for what it was.  We went round and round with this guy and he wouldn't stop harassing us.  He is very rude and we finally had to get equally rude to get him to drop it.  That was a few months ago, and just a few days ago, we started getting calls again from this number, several a day, but no one says anything.  We are also on the "no call" list, so we shouldn't be getting calls from them in the first place.  I plan on reporting them.

This guy acts like he knows you personally, asking for you by your first name. I knew it was a telemarketer and it aggrevated me, so I asked him to take me off the list and hung up. He immediately called me right back, trying to provoke me, with silly comments and stupid jokes. I asked him to take me off the list, and he says he will call me tomorrow. AND HE CALLS ME EVERY DAY!!! this last time (tonight) he called about 10 times in a row. Any suggestions on how to get this stopped???

On 7/28/08 and several times since then this really rude man calls from different numbers asking for my husband or his cell phone.  He gets irritated when I tell him he is not home and will not give out his cell phone number.  He tells me to get the hell out of here and hangs up, but continually tries again at different times of the day or on different numbers.  I told him that my husband would not appreciate him acting like that with me and that we do not do business with rude people or their companies... It would be great if someone could stop this idiot from continuing to call. ... What a jerk...

We had further confrontations, the day I posted my blog, that escalated into terroristic threatening on his part and a call to the police to report the incident on our part.  Before that, I reported him to the FTC (there is a link on the site menu on this site that tells you how to do this).  I told him so when he called, which he didn't take well.  I then informed him I would be reporting him to the police.  The calls from that number have stopped, but I suspect he is calling from an unlisted number and possibly another local number now, but the calls are much less frequent.  I am keeping a list of the calls and numbers we are receiving calls from.  It's at least a start.  Good luck.

I suspect this guy of calling from other numbers as well, some of which do not show anything on caller ID.  Do you have a list of other numbers he is calling you from?  I got a call this morning from 859.838.4654 that sounded like him, but am puzzled because it is a local number for us.  I would strongly recommend to you and anyone else who has had calls from this wacko to follow the instructions on the Site Menu on this site that tells you how to report him to the FTC and to report any threatening incidents as a terroristic threat to your local police.  If anyone is to stop him, it will  have to be the victims, and our due diligence will be required.

We have tried everything to stop this guy from calling. Well 2 weeks ago he called again but this time EVERYTHING he said I kept repeating over and over WHO? Who? He got so mad and starting screaming profanity and I just kept saying WHO?  Finally he hung up and so far (cross your fingers) he has not called back. aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
