Received a call from them at 5pm 05/08/2014 - they left no message.

same with me on 5/9/14.

Called, no message.

Called back, they said that they were collecting money for veterans in NY.

I only heard some background noise for less than a second, then nothing. 5/10/14 (11:48)

Called twice, not a number I recognized so I didn't answer my cell phone. How did they get my number, when I don't give that out?

Caller (Joe) called on Memorial Day. He was looking for contributions for the veterans. I told him that I do not donate over the phone. He continued his speech and would not pause. I had to hang up.
I called back and asked where he got my number since I am on a do-not-call list. He said he could not say. I said that I was going to report his call, and he got off the phone.

Just got a call from the above number.  They hung up as soon as I answered the call.

Charities are exempt from Federal Do-Not-Call List, so this number is also going into my blocked call list.  If you donate to a charity online, avoid giving your phone number, or they'll all come after you.

Interesting.  I keep getting calls from 516-252-0814.. Just one number off.  It comes in as New York with the number.  No message.  Just blocked it.  I now have approximately 75 blocked numbers.  I notice that a lot of them finally stopped calling.

ok so the number calling is 516-252-0814.  Blocked it and they still call 3 or 4 times a day.  Eventually they will stop.  So annoying!
