This call was from  United Census (caller ID) and the caller wanted to sell health insurance.  The next thing the caller wanted to know was my bank account number without any insurance pricing.

called on 20 Dec 2011 my wife answerd, male said hello and hung up.
called on 19 Dec 2011 and wint to voicmail, male said hello and i could hear moving and some other noise in the back ground, kept on fore 9 min till phone company cut him off

Gotten 2 calls in last three days. No message let

Listened to the voice message they left after their second call of the morning. Just a bunch of barely distinguishable voices in the background. An obvious telemarketing room (I know cuz I've worked in a few, back in the day). So I called their number. Automated Voice said to press 2 to be "added to their Internal Do Not Call list." So I go ahead and press 2. Guess what? The call gets disconnected!

When you factor in their phony sounding name that appeared on my Caller ID of "United Census" (making them sound soooo "official") they are a TOTAL SCAM!!!

Have received more than 4 calls from this number. Every time I choose the option 2 so that they add me to their internal DO NOT CALL LIST.  Still getting calls.

have called everyday at 11:30 am est - I do not answer - no voice mail left.

exactly, they have called me at least 5 times in past month, twice in last two days... never says anything and line stays open but silent.  I am hesitant to call it back...

I have received several calls from this number.  When I don't answer, they don't leave a message.  When I do answer, I have asked them to remove me from their list.  I have continued to get calls.  They told me today that they are calling from U.S. Benefits about health insurance that I had asked about.  Obviously, I haven't asked them (or anyone) about health insurance.  No need to answer this call.

Unwanted/unanswered/unrecognized call even though all our phones are registered in the national do-not-call directory.

Caller ID shows this number as UNITED CENSUS.  Sorry but the US census is not in NY and the 2010 count has already come and gone.  I have received over a DOZEN calls from this number starting last month and continuing into 2012.  My number is registered with the DNC directory yet I keep getting calls from them.  They never leave a message and when I answer I hear background noise but no one speaks.  Must be a scammer.  BEWARE!!!

How about if ALL of US call them a dozen times?

Same here. They call several times a day and will not leave a message. Today I finally thought I'd check and see if anyone else has complained. Looks like I'm not alone.

acall from united censes. Some people will try anything to foolyou of course our census is the USA and is united I hope There has to be a way with all the technowledge we have to stop such as these kind of people.

I have received numerous calls from this #, 4 Calls Today, they never leave a message!  I have No Idea who these people are.

Calls constantly, most recent call today january 12, 2012, left on my voicemail...heaving breathing, at least 6 of them...extremely creepy and want this to stop!

Constantly calls, when it shows on caller id, I pick up the receiver and hang up.  even though I'm sure it's one of those auto dialers.  A real pain.

Theses people sell bogus insurance and before they will allow you (if ever) talk to a lcs. agent they demand you answer questions. DO NOT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS! From what I could find out they are not legit. The number that is left on your caller ID is a false number and their is nothing you can do. Their is no area in either the federal or state or local governments that would help you..
