Just got called from this number on my cell.  Don't know anyone in New York, so didn't answer.  No voicemail left.

Him: "Hello, my name is _____, I am calling to help you get rid of ads and malware that are currently on your computer."
Me: "My computer is running fine; I'm literally tech support."
Him: Disconnect.

So yea. My computer is totally fine, and I did not lie, nor appreciated being lied to.

Seems like this was a phishing attempt.  Had a hard time understanding the caller who was asian.  Sounded like they wanted my microsoft id.  Didn't give it to them.  hung up.

Caller ID came up "Robert Donovan" although the caller had a thick Indian accent.  Claimed he was from Microsoft and that I needed to get to my computer immediately since it was spewing out something bad.  I asked to speak with his supervisor since I did not understand him and he told me he did not have a supervisor.  I told him that I did not believe him although he kept on begging me to go to my computer.  I hung up on him and googled the phone number.  Definitely a phishing attempt or scam.

Another alleged Microsoft Tech dept reaching out. Called us back repeatedly.

basically same as the previous reports.  Foreigner reports some problems with my computer ... When I said I don't have a Microsoft computer, he hung up.  When I dialed the number on my caller ID, Verizon wireless said that number is disconnected or out if service.  I am reporting this to the police.

I've received a call every weekday starting May 8 to now (May 15).  No messages left.  I don't know anyone in New York.  Gonna see if my phone can block this number.  I don't need tech support that I don't know, if that is what this is.

Constant call from the above number to my cell.  Want it to stop.  Where do I go to block this caller.

Got  a call from this number trying to insist that i give him access to my home computer because my microsoft programs are reporting issues.. When i said i don't use microsoft he hungup

Called after midnight last night. No voicemail left

Unsure who this was that called,  I hung up when I heard him say hello.

Thanks for posting so I do not waste my time for call Fri. June 5, 2015 at 9:02AM.  I will block this phone number on my cell phone - it is contributing to my cell phone mailbox being full and cause incoming  calls to be bounced. Due to possible scammer, I did not call back.

Live caller asked for someone that hadn't lived here in years. I said no one of that name lives here. He said that's OK I'm calling from the world wide web in Michigan and there is a problem with your computer. So funny. He could barely speak English.

Just got a call. Answered and it rang. I said hello. The guy said "can I speak to the owner of this phone?". I said yeah. "This is the owner and I know your a telemarketer . What do you want?"
"I'm not a telemarketer!" I said. Ok then. Your calling from New York or God knows where. And he was talking but it was cutting out.  So it's probably an VOIP (voice over ip) which could be Skype or whatever. Vonage. I dunno.  I told him don't call again. And to removed my number. Don't call and I will block every number they call from.

And they just called again.  After calling them out he said he said he is trying to call his insurance agent who called him.   Wow

Called twice no caller id no message

I called the number back, since no one was on the line when I answered.  The recording said this was a Verizon wireless number no longer in use...

Received numerous calls from this number and finally answered last Friday to try to get them to stop.  Same story as I'm reading above.  Said someone was trying to hack my computer for my password between midnight and 3AM last night and claimed my personal information would be compromised and my computer would crash.  Called again this morning and when I questioned him he claimed to be from a company called Redchat.  Didn't know who I was or what my email address was.  Said error messages were being relayed to "them" related to my IP address.
