Yes, it's a Dustin Thomas from a "claimants office". He won't tell me the name of the company or what the original debt is, just that there is a claim being filed against me and he's offering me a settlement. I contacted my lawyer and he told me to give this Dustin Thomas his #. They still havent called my lawyer, but now they are calling my teenager daughters cell phone looking for me and discussing my credit with her..

I got the same call today from my husband's cellphone which I'm not even sure how they got his cell number, claiming that there is a fraud claim lawsuit against me that I should contact him immediately. I don't have the darned clue what this is all about so I did not bother calling the number back. Most of this calls are frauds trying to get information out of you, and if it is a lawsuit don't you think you should be receiving a certified mail with a seal from a court? The things these idiots does do make a person wonder but the best thing is ignore the calls, don't entertain them because that's how they hack your information. If you know how lawsuits, claims & procedures works then best ignore this calls.

Today I received a call from these people stated I"ii owe the money for a pay loan , and they want me to pay loan. I was told if I do not pay loan they will file paper against me. I have never taken out a pay loan or ever heard of pay loan. The person was so rude and they file a lawsuit against me. I told to stop calling my number or else i'll contact consumer affairs. who ever these people are they are running a SCAM.

After I hang up the phone they have the never to call me back from a different # 855-969-3336 with the same BS.

Just got a call from this number stated that they were calling from my county processing office. I ask for their name he said Greg I said what is your last name said he doesn't give out last names. I asked what office in the processing office are you calling from they said my county name but no specific office. Then they gave me  the 855-969-3336 number and said it's a told free number.
First if all you can't call toll free numbers if it is in the same county dumb butt. My caller I'D has cameron, James as the caller. This is bull crap.

Been getting calls from this number and several others with same recorded message about the  "claimants office" for several months now. Today's message said a judgment will be filed against me in my county if I don't expedite the matter. If this were legitimate I would either be served papers or contacted by mail.

Got a voice mail from Lee Harrington from NCR Claims office.  Told me I had 24 hours to call this number 516-342-5332 ext. 402 or they were going to file charges against me and PROSECUTE me to the fullest extent.  These people are bottom feeders and they try to scare people into giving them money.  SCAM!

Got the same voicemail from these people, same message, claiming to be NCR whatever that is. I am no fool. When you google a number and it is a legit organization the number comes up with the company name. This number does not pertain to any company. It is a scam to have you pay money. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY MONEY!!

This number called me this morning.  A Mr. Hunt said I had until 4PM tomorrow to answer charges on a payday loan or I would be arrested.  I have heard NOTHING about this case prior and I have no money whatsoever as I am unemployed.  Is this a scam?

I am the VP of a legitimate collection agency in NJ.  I too received a voice mail from these folks but it was for a person I have never heard of.  NO ETHICAL AGENCY would ever use these terror tactics.  I urge you NOT to give any personal information to these people, even confirming your name with them, let alone entertain the discussion of a debt.  This is a SCAM, pure and simple.  Our trade industry and the CFPB have sent almost weekly bulletins on this type of SCAM.  Again, this is not a legitimate collection agency.  Any information they obtain will help them steal your identity.  If you have blocking capabilities on your phone, block their numbers.  

I took got a call from  516-342-5332  ext.402 and a Mr. Lee Harrington stating I had till Wed to get back to him  or else I forfeit all legal rights. I called and got no answer. I call back and requested to speak to a representative and told me I only had to speak to them.

Yes,  it  is a scam.

"Charges" are filed by public prosecutors.  Debt collectors have no powers of arrest.  You cannot be arrested for an ordinary civil debt.  Being in debt is not a crime.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won't do this so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

Ignore them and block their calls.

If they have a valid debt,  tell them to send you a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail.  Of course they won't do this.  No one forfeits any legal rights by not calling someone.  Pure attempt to scare you into paying them something.

I called the 516-342-5332 number and they claim that they are not  NATIONAL CHECK RESOLUTION INC. But they do say they are NCR.
