(516) 418-2205  is emailing wanting info on items you have for sale, wanting you to email or text them back so they can come see your stuff for sale....  then they reply with wanting your info so they can send shipper to get it.....

Yep.  Same thing happened to me from this number. Watch it and don't ship.  CL is CASH ONLY.

Me too. Email came with the name Carolyn Brown attached to it. Asking for info on an item I have on Craigslist - in VERY broken english. Then they wanted address info to have shipper pick up. Want to use PayPal to pay. This is all happening as I write this. I typed the phone number into Google, and it comes up as Huntington Park, NY. I'm gonna blow them off. It's just too shady for me.

These people just tried to scam me. I was selling a power wheelchair  for $200 and I recd PayPal for $400 (although no money actually in acct). Emails all fake. Anyway they said I needed to send $150 via western union for shipping for shipping company. Called PayPal n sent all 4 emails to fraud dept.

Used the name Lisa Anders. Most likely fake like everything else.

Beware total scam. DO NOT SEND ANY $$$$$$.

since i had 2 listings and got same response from Lisa Anders.  I figured I would look up out of state number before responding..  gotta love scammers on craigs list!

A Lisa Anders responded to my CL ad selling my daughter's power wheelchair. First e-mail sounded like any other but second tipped me off: (along with NY phone number and no personal e-mail address for Lisa..)
Here's what I got after telling them I had the powerchair for my daughter who has MS:

-- NOW reading all the other posts on this phone number, I'm guessing this person doesn't have ALS (Lou Gherig's disease).. I am so tempted to verbally blast this person back but I'm sure it's not going to make an impression or stop them from posting to other ads.

I received a craigslist request from 516-418-2205 for a very large item.  Something that no one would do.  Anyway thank goodness I know about this site.  I'm going to ignore this request.  Thank you again.

Wow, I live in Indiana & I got an email for this same person giving me this number to text them at about my wheelchair, her name in email was Lisa. Sounds like a total scam! Thanks for posting!

The scam is still going. Lisa Anders/516-418-2205/wanting to buy a wheelchair. Hope someone will/has report(ed) to the FTC.

Wow,  Same exact message to us and when we asked for the Pay Pal Transaction # or Tracking ID - No response.   Really a wierd way to try to scam - she told us she had sent a large amount to our Pay Pal Acct and could we in turn handle the Western Union payment to the Shipper and gave me the Western Union agent's name - Name:  Elizabeth Smith- City:  Snow Hill State: North Carolina Zip Code: 28580

because of my older age and not experience in dealing in on-line sales thru cl, I have been victim to scam, any way to legally recover what money spent? Anyone.  All handle thru PayPal at the time.  still going on, no more money will be sent. Help  I have to much trust in people at a cost to me

So glad I googled the name "Lisa Anders " from Huntington NY.....just wanted me to sell "her" a wheelchair ramp and move it from Chicago to NY....that would be nuts. I thought something was fishy since there was no discussion about the cost. People normally would want to bargain a bit....and no direct answers to emails. And same exact message as hellodoggy above received.

OMG! That is the exact email I got today from "Lisa", and they replied to my ad for my Hoveround!! I flagged it as a scam, but what else can be done??

My neighbor was almost scammed by this.

I received a e-mail form the party above... sure does not sound legit..Please check this out..
