Called and didn't leave a voicemail.

called us 15 hours ago - didn't leave a message but could hear someone "grunt" and hang up.

Call this number back and remove your phone number from their list.  It says they will have that done in 7 days.  I just tried it so we will see what happens!
There are a few other phone numbers of this variety I am going ahead and removing my number.

Got a call from 1-516-453-6844 and they left an automated voice recording saying I had won an all inclusive trip for 4 to Cancun Mexico and $1600 travel dollars.... SCAM!

I got this same call and I pressed one.... it tells me that it's an error.. Does that mean that since I pressed one, they can now track my entire identity?

BEWARE OF SCAM!

Automated vacation offer. Claims a family member visited one of a number of popular department stores (Walmart, Sears, Zellers, etc) and entered you into a draw for an all-inclusive vacation in Cancun, Mexico. Prompts you to press 1 to accept or 3 to decline. I pressed nothing and it disconnected a few moments later.

This must be a scam for a few reasons. First, it lists a bunch of different companies that obviously someone you know will have visited in the last few weeks. The trip is to Cancun, but the resort is nameless. They simply keep referring to it as "exclusive".

at least now I have call display....anything coming in from a US phone # or city is something I don't need to answer where I live.... what a time waster this stuff is.

I contacted The Bay, and told them about the call.  They confirmed that it was fraudulent and advised me to report it to the police.  I also told Ellen Roseman (of the Toronto Star) about it.

I found contact information for Peerless Networks, but it's a Chicago address, and it appears that the company provides phone & internet infrastructure (as well as subpoena service), but there's no mention of telemarketing.  This leads me to suspect that "Peerless Networks of NY, LLC" is a fraudulent use of the Peerless Networks name.
