Same crap new number.  If you have the time tell them your name is ( Uncle). Sam Obama,  and their agent  Jerry   is already working on you account.  When they come back on the phone and don't know who Jerry is,  tell them its Jerry Sandusky.

Same CC SCAM call Rachel from Card Member Services.

Robo dialing and phishing for your CC info.

Dialing the # back - get fast busy.

They provide every excuse but the truth when they get asked, if I have a "business relationship" with their company.  Am I a client with thier company. - They re-drect the conversation.

Until the GOV says to the Phone Companies (Cell, internet, and land line) a Phone Number must be real and have a throat to choak at the other end this crap will never end.

Or some one in congress get this type of call on thier cell phone one day.....

I am  being harassed by Card Services 516-472-9017. I am receiving calls 3-4 times a week from them .
Once I asked them to stop calling and I was told no.. that they are not going to ever stop calling me.
I have had it.. They call my home and my cell and I have reported them to the DNS list and the FTC. I will continue to report them till I find some way to either sue them or have someone take action against them. I am ready to do whatever it takes to get rid of them..Any ideas??

Typical CC info theft program.  I don't bother to answer.  No point in reporting to FCC. The criminals ignore the DNC list and if they are somehow caught by FCC they can simply declare bankruptcy and start over under a new name with new address and number.

Have fun with these scum.  Tell them they've reached an Active Homicide Scene.  Start hammering them with questions like

    Their Full Name
    Address
    Phone Number
    Relationship to the Victim
Why they have repeatedly called the Homicide Victim

I too have fun with them.  I tell them I have to get my credit card number which will take a couple of minutes, then I set the phone down next to a computer and I pull up a free video porn site and let them listen to porn sounds for a minute or two.  Then I get back on the phone and tell them to please hold, I must have left my wallet in my car out in the street.

My record for keeping one of their reps on the line is 13 minutes and 30 seconds.

I always start out skeptical so they have to work to sell me.  That way, the rep feels more vested in the outcome.

Card Services or Rachel continues to call me from many different numbers. I have switched my land line to ITP which is a VOIP service. Very cheap compared to AT&T. I am able to block calls with this service, so each time I get a call I add that number  to the list. Someday I hope they run out of numbers. The Do not call list is useless.

while the ftc proclaimed just before the election that it had shut down rachel from card services, she revived within a week, according to a hangup robocall from this number. rachel and heather started robocalling me a couple of years ago after i objected to a major hospital group and insurance provider in the washington dc area altering my electronic medical records, and refused to pay bills based on those records. my insurance provider stressed its "friends" in "all regulatory agencies" and said it knew the laws against such alteration weren't being enforced, particularly in virginia where i live. the debt collectors use phonenumbers from all over and when i got a human said they didn't have to follow the fair debt collection practices act, about which I notified both healthcare groups as well as their acknowledged debt collectors. Plus, this is a cellphone number so the call's also illegal under the canspam act. i wonder whether this scam's related to these politically powerful groups's business decisions to ignore the laws. i also wonder whether the robocall lull from these folks during the frenetic weeks before the elections was because their equipment was being used to build up their political capital, and thus insulate them from obeying the law

This card service Rachel keeps calling me over and over again. when I answer they hang up. I realized that they don't care weather I answer the phone or not they will get paid either way. I am helpless... I though that buy signing  the do not call list this type of scam will end.. stupid me!!.
An other thing I just noticed, Comcast have been charged me $1.50 a month for years to have my phone private. I just entered my phone into google and all my personal information just pop up including my whole address.

I didn't have the ringer turned on for the land line this morning and received a call from this number 516-472-9017.  They didn't leave a voice mail message.  This is the first time I've received a call from this particular number.  They need to get a life and leave people alone.  As for what we can do - just don't answer your phone if they keep on calling from unknown name, unavailable, etc. - if people would quit answering the stupid calls, they would finally give up trying to call anyone; but, too many people just have to answer their phone.  I've been thinking about turning off voice mail temporarily just to see how these calls go.  I hadn't been bothered all last week by any of these scammers and didn't get any calls until yesterday from a scammer at another number (probably these same sickos).  If I ever find out anyone I know in real life or online works for any of these scammers, well I'd hate to be that person since I will let them have it full force as to what slimeball SOB's they are and what slimeball companies the companies they work for are (and if it happens to be a family member or close friend, well let's put it this way, they won't be a relative or friend anymore).  SLIMEBALL SCAMMERS - GO STUFF IT WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE.  (And, yes, those slimeballs read these comments.).

Hi Zoey:  The FTC has a contest going on right now until mid-January 2013 that you can come up with a concept technology that would get rid of robocalls once and for all.  According to the FTC, most of their complaints have come from people like you and me who get unwanted robocalls.

And if you come up with the best technology to get rid of these unwanted calls, according to the FTC, you could win $50,000 or so.  You will have to check out their website and enter, if you have an idea to stop these unwanted calls.

I also got a call today too.  So it is very annoying and very frustrating too.

Please have someone investigate the number of unsolicited calls from 516 472 9017, Card Services. I believe it is a division of Verizon. The customer service representative said he would not take me off the call list, nor would he let me speak with a manager. He was rude.

It doesn't matter what company name they use, they are SCAMMERS who want you to pay $$$ up front for an interest rate reduction on your credit card that will NEVER materialize. The CRIMINALS are using a robodialer so do not answer the calls. If you do, you'll be marked as a target who will answer your phone, may be called again and again, and your number may be sold to other criminals as someone who answers reliably for more SCAMS.
