Someone called me a few times from this number and hang up when I picked up.

Same as everyone else, when I pick up they hang up.

Got a call on my cell. Some guy with a strong accent trying to sell me an extended vehicle warranty. I asked to be taken off their list and he hung up.

Got a call yesterday and another one today. Didn't answer but tried calling back, it said "the office is currently closed" (it's noon on a Wednesday right now) "then says the office hours are 7am-4pm PACIFIC time, which seems weird since it's a 516 number. At no point does it say the business name...weird.

Same thing as E this is some type of fraud. Does anyone know if this can be reported some how?

I got the same call.  She said she was from my car's warranty company.  They knew what kind of car I owned, but they wanted to know the mileage.  I refused to tell her (also a person with a strong accent), and she kept asking me.  When I asked her the name of the warranty company, she hung up.  I believe this might be a phishing scam.  I too called the number back and got the same voicemail as "E".

Same as what others reported... received a couple calls over several days, no vm left and same recording when called back.  Definitely a scam and I'm adding this number to my block list.  They are obviously spoofing the (516) number from wherever they are calling to get you to answer.

FYI: Don't Call Back & Don't Answer the Phone.  They are just looking for live #'s.  I work in the telecommunications industry and have a little knowledge of this sort of thing so I can protect myself a little better than most :)

this number has been calling my phone for over a week and i haven't answered.  No message left.  I finally answered today and a man with accent told me he was calling me about extending the warranty on my truck.  However the truck he was calling about was lost in super storm sandy.  I hung up immediately.

I just received the same call and a man with a heavy accent answered. He new my car make, model and year. He was referring to my warranty and requesting the amount of miles on my car. I kept on asking questions regarding the information, then there was a dial tone. I  don't understand how he knew my car and phone number information. On the caller ID, I see the name: PHILIPSCARDIAC.

same message"office currently closed please leave a message".  It is 11:25 on Monday afternoon

This number has been calling me 1-2 times per day for about a week now.  I never pick up. I blocked this caller thanks to the suggestion BSC on this site

scam caler when i ask who it is they wont tell me receice the call a few times a day under raytel cardiac

I had the same call-same number.  My caller ID said Raytel Cardiac.  I googled their offices and they cross referenced my telephone number and its a fraud.  They have no idea what is happening.

Just got a call from this phone number. When I picked up the phone, a lady with a heavy accent hesitated for a second and said she was from The Vehicle Processing Center. I hung up. No one ever calls my home phone.

Same as all of you. Have any of you bought from Westbury jeep? I'm wondering if that's where they're getting the vehicle info. The calls started the day after I got a service there.

Raytel Cardiac calls at least once a day and hangs up. When I did pick up, a woman with a very heavy accent started asking me about my vehicle service and what car I was driving. She knew what car I drove in 2009.
I'm going to call the number to get off of their list asap. Is there a way to report them?

I am surprised at the lack of power the authorities have in tracking down these people.  

if you have an iphone go into the recent calls list and click the little blue "i" button scroll down to the bottom of the page and click block this caller.  They have called me three times in four days never left a message.  Started March 9th 2014 two days ago.  

They just called me about a 2008 mitsubishi. Guy with a heavy accent said he was from the vehicle processing center and laughed a bit after I gave him sort of a cold response (knowing it was a scam). He continued laughing while trying to talk, apologized and then just hung up on me. Don't answer!
