- Drew| 1 replywas called several times by that number, on the 4th or 5th call, I answered, immediately asked whose calling, and they said they were a microsoft technician [ but gave no name ] calling about a service order on my new computer, when I told them my new computer was 9 years old, they paused for about a minute; then I told them do not call me anymore, you are a scammer and I hung up on them, and yet they've called me another 3 times since then.

- Joe| 1 replyI HAVE RECEIVED CALLS SEVERAL TIMES THIS WEEK WITH THE LAST ONE BEING YESTERDAY AT 1825 - 4 NOVEMBER 2015 (They never yang up) - I have been getting calls from these people several times a year and I mean several times. I am an IT guy so I make it hard form them as I have a very large and complex home network. So, I will ask them "so you work work for Microsoft or are at least have a contract with Microsoft" and their answer is vague. Then this were it gets fun ( as I work out of my home and I have some time to play with them) I ask them "which machine/pc has given the error", they ask what I am saying and I say "what pc is giving the error as I have 10 pc's on my network". They become dumbfounded and start display confusion, now comes a very specific question "which IP addresse is giving the error message" and I repeat the question and by now they are so lost, confused, and just down right dumbfounded because they have no idea what in the heck I am talking about I just start laughing at them and then the ask "what I am laughing at" and "I say you". I tell them "if they really want to run this scam and use the Microsoft's name and pose as a Technician, Engineer, or some other technical support person they really need to know what in the heck they are talking about". As Americans, techies, and honest people from around the world we are not dumb, stupid, or for that fact have any other cognitive impairment that we all would fall for your scam. Even kids I know that are as young as 5 or 6 would not even fall for your scam. Plus in today's society they better be careful of whom they are scaming because you never know when the tables will turn and you become the scamee or the unfortunate happens as they just might track you done because you never know exactly who you are talking too on the other end of that phone line and trying to scam. After all you think you are scamers that are technically savvy but remember this - THERE IS ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS SOMEONE OR SOME TECHIE OUT THERE THAT IS SMARTER THEN YOU AND IS WILLING OR JUST MIGHT GO BEYOND LET'S JUST SAY WHAT WE ALL CALL CIVILITY.
