they called today and said it was about my computer, i told them it was fine and hung up

just got a call from this number (6:46pm, mississauga, ontario).  no called ID name.  i didn't pick up.  it only rang twice and stopped, so it didn't go to my voicemail either.  (my voicemail picks up after the 6th ring).

didn't recognize number. did not take the call

Received a call on a Saturday from someone claiming to be from "Microsoft" stating they had a report that my home computer had a virus that was broadcasting all my personal information. When I pressed for details on the report, the line went dead. Obviously a scam: 1. Microsoft doesn't call on Saturdays; 2. they wouldn't have someone call from India over a barely intelligible line for such a serious problem.

Received message today Nov 23rd 2011 same issue no one left message only miss call on calling back no response.

Same deal, barely understandable on a bad line from India or somewhere similar.  Told me my computer was sending Microsoft a message that it had a rundll32.exe malware problem.  Microsoft does not call people with infected computer problems.  If you are seriously worried, go and buy a anti-virus software and scan your system.  Don't get duped by the thieves.

Received a call at 1:15pm ET,from this #,no awnser, ,,?call back since i know people from NY,and it said that number dont exist?????,i reporter to my carrier.

Caller in heavy accent told me he was with Windows technical support.  Before he could continue I told him the call would be reported to the police as a fraud.  I used the *57 service (the one for logging prank or illegal calls - useless as it probably is...)

Received call but did not answer it......just got the caller id number.
Probably some idiot scam.

A few times a day I get a call where no one says anything...just a 5-6 second pause, then I hear a 'ding' sound and an automated lady saying 'goodbye'. Annoying!

Got a call this morning from this # and a woman said someone downloaded a virus from the internet and wanted access to my computer to fix problem. It was such a coincidence because my step-daughter has been having problems with her computer a we think she did download virus 2 days ago and has been having problems with her computer. I could baring understand her voice as is sounded from India and I said it must be my step-daughter's computer and she just went quiet and hung up phone. Very strange!

got a call at 6:28 AM from some East Indian voice wanting to talk about my computer, actually argued with me that she did not think it was an inappropriate time to be calling!

Received a call in Halifax. Knew it was a scam immediately.
Lady said something was wrong with my computer. A yellow flashing light was showing some illegal activity and she could easily fix it. She spoke in a broken English accent. I could hear voices in the background. Her company is One Stop Solutions on Baker Street in Canada. When I asked what city, she said Canada. I asked if Canada was a city, her reply was it was a State. I informed her to review her geography. She then wanted to know if I wanted her help at which time I informed her she was a crook, she then said something I did not understand and hung up.

He called and told me I had qualified for a grant for home improvement.  He said he was with U.S. Financial Resources.  He said his name was Danny Brown, employee number 102686.  The company  Address was P.O. Box 333 Pleasant Grove Utah 84062.  I just had to pay $3.87 to submit the final paperwork and I would receive money for home improvement.  He then said if you could just supply me with your 16 digit card you will be paying with I will send you the paper work through your email and help you get the money you need to improve your home.  I asked again for the  name of the company and just started asking him to basically repeat everything back.  I asked him if he worked for the United State's Financial Institution of Resources, he said "Yes, and if you do not wish to continue I will just terminate your application".  After stumbling him up several times I then stated "I think your misrepresenting yourself".  He became VERY HOSTILE.  He stated that my mother was there performing sexual acts on him, That "HIS PEOPLE WAS GOING TO BLEED THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DRY AND KILL MY FAMILY AND OUR PRESIDENT". He said "[***] OBAMA, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE YOU DIRTY [***] AMERICANS WAS GOINgG TO FUND THE MONEY TO KILL OBAMA".  He told me to watch on Youtube and Yahoo and I would see the revenge of Osama Bin Laden's death.  Something about places that where going to be bombed.  He called back 4 times, one right after the next, and threatened MY FAMILY, MY PRESIDENT, GOVERNMENT, AND MY COUNTRY.  I have all the numbers he called from the first came up Private Name-607-594-4642.  Then they all came up PAYPHONE-607-594-4641,  512-495-9027,  607-733-6833,  516-746-9347.  I don't know what to do, everyone I have spokin with just say don't answer or block the numbers.  I don't know about anyone else but I take it very PERSONAL.  All this happen about an hour ago and I will find out everything.  THEY JUST CALLED AS I WAS TYPING.....JUST NOW.  Different guy same B.S.  Someone Please take this serious and find these people.  That number was ALTON, IL - 681-462-3632

just received a phone call today from this number at 2:50pm saying that we had a problem with our computers but i am a network engineer and security analysis in the house and I run virus scan regularly. my mom was talking to them and she can hear a lot of talking in the background so she decided to play around with their heads by saying no one in the house owns a computer and she was 80 years old and lived in a nursing home then they hung up the phone. watch who is calling stating they are from a reputable computer company saying you have a virus which is a scam because the computer company would call they would send you a secured email using an https:// to show it is a secured site with security certificates which you can see if your using mozilla firefox. if this number calls you again have fun and play around with their heads happy web surfing.

Just got a call from this number. Said they error reports coming into their tech support from my computer. I told them they were full of bull because I don't have a computer and they hung up lol

The guy with a strong Indian accent called most probably from Soust Asia over a bad connection and requested information about my computers. Also wanted me to go to some website to provide technical support to fix "my problems".

Definitely a scam.

Got a call saying he was from Microsoft technical support and there was a virus on my computer told him my boyfriend had a laptop but that I didn't use it he asked for my boyfriends phone number I said give me your number and your supervisor's name and number and I'll have him call you.... he hung up

same thing happened to me with this [***] sucker

i know it came from new york and sent the file to the FBI
