They say they are with civil procedure and ask if you will be home the next day so they can serve you court documents they are a scam i have been getting these phone calls for months i was told by sheriffs that they do not call you before you are to be served legal documents

I have received several calls do not answer phone no message

It's a scare tack!!!  One of my brothers is a lawyer and I another brother who does the serving, by the way just an FYI they  never call!   Do not give them any money it is a scam in a half !!!!!    There are some super bad eggs out there and a 5 Million dollar a year industry because people fall for this all the time!  Record your phone calls or get call caller id.  If you don't recognize the number don't answer.  If they leave a message record and save it because the BBB wants to know about it so the prosecutor can go after them and then this way their goose is cooked!!

Fyi also it won't be out of your area code!  Shame on them Karma will bite them!

They also change there number and will call and threaten you I made the mistake of answering but thank god I knew the bill they were talking about had been paid before I could get a mortgage

I had been receiving calls prior from an 888 about this same thing documents to be served, they have called my family members too and now I am getting calls from the 516-853-7433....this is a SCAM and I have blocked their number....

Called looking for andrea chojecki...wanting to know if she would be home tom between 9-4.....needing to deliver some dicuments...

As a new home owner, I said the same thing. If I owed anybody, I could not have secured the mortgage loan. duh...

A phone came in from this number, caller Unknown asking - Would Stephanie be available to be served a summons from Myers, Morgan and Associates.

They just called me and the guy said his name is Ron Davis at least I got a name I didn't accept anything he was saying and he said that summons crap I knew it was a scam they did it before.

516-853-7433 just called my home to see if I would be home tomorrow between 8 and 4 so I could be served legal documents. When I told them NO, and when I asked what is was regarding she told me it was illegal for them to tell me but I could call 888-269-9930 and give them case #2015-172837 and maybe they could tell me, but it appeared to be a summons to court. When I told her my husband works for the Sheriffs Dept and no one is ever notifed before they are served, she hung up on me. SCAM!!!!

I got the same exact call as Lisa above was I going to be available between the hours of 8-4; when I asked why she said it appears to be legal documents summons to go to court if I wanted to know I should call 1-888-269-9930 and give them case # 2014-72794 and they would tell me!! A police officer told me DON"T ANSWER MY PHONE!! This is not the first no# that has tried some scare tactics I literally am so grateful to websites like this! We can pass them on!!!

They keep calling they have court documents to serve you and if you are going to be home, this is a scam

Ya me too, he tried getting me with my wife's information. Same story as what everyone else has been saying here.

they called me in the middle of class i got in truble cause i didnt know this person and the teachers didnt beleve me!!! who is this person and why do people prank call others for no reason it can get people in truble and that person needs to leave a voice mail i just called them back and they didnt answer at all

I got the same call on 9/21/15 saying they had legal documents to serve to me at my home ...I hung up!  ..because first of all they called me without a name of the company their calling from?  ,  # 2 the call came in from a new york number( I never lived in ny)   and 3 they didnt know which state I even lived in. ..and not to mention that I havent had any reason to be served with any kind of papers and the fact tht legit business people DONT CALL YOU AT ALL THEY JUST HAVE YOU SERVED!!!! ...clearly a big ole fat scam .. !

Same here they called and asked me the same thing.

Several Calls from this number but never leave a message. I had blocked a similar number after exposing those as Scammers now this number comes up.
I recommend that you not answer or return calls to this number. Scammers

I got the same call its not the first time they've called. I block the number on my phone to prevent future calls, but then they call from a new number. I just keep blocking the numbers as they call.

Thurs. 11:03 a.m. 9/24 got a call from a girl named Aaron with the Civil Procedure Division asking if I will be home the next day 9/25 between 9:00 and 4:00 p.m., for them to deliver legal documents.  I did not answer that was the message from Nassau, NY 516-853-7433. They hung up when realized they were talking to no one.
