- Bub17This call came on 02/07/2014, 12:17 PM, Massapequa, NY. Caller ID shows a Capital V followed by a long string of numbers. V20712174200100.
I see 2-07 is the date. 12-17-42 is the time and 00100 is the same code that Remy posted in the 2 posts previous to mine. That may be the identity of the robo caller?- Caller: V20712174200100
- Call type: Telemarketer
- vickiphone rings. no message left

V21205473900100- Call type: Telemarketer
- Bub17 replies to Bub17The same scam also uses (516) 900-3004. According to WhitePages they are based in Manhattan. They probably use the (516) to be more local to the people they prey on. You wouldn't use a (212) area code to ask for donations for the Nassau County PBA.
- CynthiaThis number has called me repeatedly during the last few weeks. When I called it back to complain the number said they were not accepting messages. I don't answer the phone when they call, but they keep calling back. Is it even a real foundation?
- Caller: Breast Cancer Survivors
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- LeeB replies to REMYSame here. 2-19-14
- Irish Lass| 1 replyThis number also has called consecutively, phone ID reads "Breast Cancer", but they never leave a message. I also get a string of numbers after a V, going to call Verizon to find out what these numbers are as quite a few of these scammers come up with that type of code.
- Caller: Breast Cancer ??????
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- Bub17 replies to Irish LassThe V has nothing to do with Verizon. All these start with V even when the original telecom is not Verizon. The remainder is the date, time and robo identity. For example:
V22111344500100 would break down as follows.
221 is Feb. 21st
113445 is the time the call was made from the originating time zone. 11:34:45 in hr:min:sec format. So a call from the west coast would show 3 hours earlier than the time it was received on the east coast.
00100
The zeroes before the may be place holders for when we get to October which is the first 2 digit month.
That my best guess about the V number. - stacieI received a call from a lady who was solicited by this number to donate money to their cause. When she asked about their website, they gave her my foundation's website address (which is a valid non-profit). However, we have no connection to the person calling and soliciting funds--SCAM!
