The caller id has a record of "GC Services" calling. Who are they?

I recieved a call from this number. They were looking for the executer of my moms estate and claims she owes taxes from 2003. Who is this company.. I've never recieved a notice from the IRS.

They left a voicemail stating they were form the State of Michigan Treasury Department, gave a reference number but made no mention of who they were trying to reach.  They tried to escalate to an officer of the corp for "dicussion authorization", then asked for his full name, address, and SSN.

This caller is fraudulent, no government agency would request an individual's SSN to verify identity for matters relating to a corporate tax matter.

This number is for Michigan Accounts Receivable Collection System (MARCS).  They are collectors for individuals who owe the State of Michigan income tax.

This is a Call from the State of Michigan, and most likely they are calling to inform you of your "DRIVERS RESPONSIBILITY FEES" and to set up payment arrangements. YIPEE!! too bad we live in Michigan, the land of no jobs, and they expect you to pay money, or you lose your license.  You gotta work to pay it off, and you cant work without a license, and if you do drive without a license, they will arrest you and give you court costs and more drivers responsibility fees....and on and on it goes. WELCOME TO MY LIFE!!!!!

These people keep calling identifying themselves as State of Michigan Treasury. BEWARE. They knew my SS#. I asked where they got my number. They hung up. SCAM!

I am on the phone with them right now; it is the State of Michigan "Collections" department for Income taxes owed.

These [***] call everyday.  Today was the 1st time they did not call "Private" and when I told him that I am not verifying anything over the phone, he offered a number for me to call back and verify.  I told him that if the State wants to get ahold of me, they will.  I also told him to tell me the information he has on me and I will tell him if it is right, he told me that was against policy and he could not do that.  I told him to stop calling me and he said "Ok, this will be the last courtesy call you receive, I said thank you and hung up.

I got that number too. I was not home and my husband answered the phone. They said they wanted to make payment arrangements for me for my 2007 and 2008 income tax that is owed. Only thing is, I don't owe anything for 2007. My husband told them they would have to call back as he did not give them any information.

The caller said, "Hello we are calling from the state."
They asked to identify my address and told me what city I lived in.
I asked what the call was about and they said it was about a personal business acount and they would tell me after they esteblished some details.

Same number same BS... They told me they were from the MI Department of Treasury and wanted my address.  They also said I have spoke to them before.  Had the same address for MANY years...They would know that...Spoke to them before....NEVER....DO NOT GIVE ANYONE PERSONAL INFO.

I also received a call from 517-272-5509. They asked for me, except using my maiden name.  And I've been married for a long time. We moved from michigan 3 years ago. And I dont owe anything to the state for any reason.

08/25/2010 8:50 p.m. received call from Miss Cruise from the State of Michigan Treasury Dept. Caller ID.# 517-272-5509 from GC Agency - Message # 866-218-7374 with a reference number@@@@@ and hours of operation M-Th 8-9 p.m. Friday 8-7 p.m. Sat. 8-12 noon.
This is a scam!!!
Report this call and all others to the authorities. This is an attempt at identity theft and could be an attempt at home invasion. Inform your local police and phone carrier at once!!

I used to work for GC Services, not for long though, they are jerks. They are contracted through the state of Michigan to do collections on non payment of taxes, and things like drivers responsibility fees. So they are calling on behalf of the state of Michigan.

This number called my cell phone 517-887-0022 and did not identify the person name that they were calling for, left a phone number and a reference number . I called the number back because I could not understand the information and why they were calling. The lady on the other end ask me my name. I  gave her my name, and then she wanted my drivers license number.I ask what was this about and she said that she could not tell me anything. I told her that I was not going to give out my information and I do not know what it is about, she told me to next time listen to the message and call back with the reference number. I hung up the phone.

Fix your state!  It starts with you.  Step 1...throw all the politician bums out...step 2...fire the entire bureacracy...yes...fire, police, social workers, judges, prisons, all of them.  The charge them all government responsibility fee through the newly-elected Tea Party Secretary of State that will eat up their entire unemployment checks.  At that moment, this pond scum will know what it was like for you to live in Michigan.

In other words, make you politicians and bureaucrats the last victims of the monstrous system of government they created and condoned.
