Caller claims to be a 3rd party investigator working for the IRS. They attempt to get personal information by mentioning a pending tax evasion lawsuit.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Automated call stating a lawsuit is going to be filed and to return their call

left message on phone states lawsuit against but didn't say against who? also said lawsuit may transferred to local district court. left phone number to call back.  didn't bother to return these scam called.

Robot call asked to call back, man said owed taxes and suite was being filed and  I  owed IRS $4006.00 but with penalty's and fees it would $60,088.00.  Said it was to late to pay as we signed for a letter back in January.  We will be arrested tomorrow.

Left a message that there is a case pending and I need to call court house at this ##

Got a call saying SKYPE was filing a lawsuit against me and I needed to call the number.

I received a call from (518) 285-0961, a man claiming to be working for the IRS. He became belligerent when I pressed him for his name & division of the IRS, and yelled at me that I would be sued for not paying taxes, and that then demanded more info, which was not given.

Got a voicemail saying a case would be sent to the county courthouse and that I need to call 518-285-0961.  I am thankful for the other postings and will not call the number since it is a scam.

Call from a SKYPE # asking for a callback about a lawsuit.  No name was given as to who I was or who they were.  Scam -

Said he was officer Sean Cooper

Male caller with strong Indian or Pakistani accent identified himself as "Sean Cooper." Caller ID said "SKYPE." Claimed that a lawsuit had been filed against me for tax fraud or evasion. Claimed to be working directly for IRS but when I asked for another phone number other than SKYPE just said "It says Skype? It should not say that." Told him I was going to talk to my accountant and he said OK and ended the conversation.

got message came through as face time and on caller ID ad Skype left message about going to court on the case and hung up tried to call back number to see who it was as message was unclear got no answer looked it up on google to see that it was part of a scam number was 5182850961 first time I called I got a young woman who denied it was her number funny the next time I called it no answer
