Just got a call from this number. No msg left.

Same here...  Was on biz call and rang four times, when answering machine activated, line cut off

This board is simply a sounding board for people to vent and inform others of scam telemarketing calls they receive.  There is no authority associated with the 800notes site to stop these callers.  In order for people to collectively stop these type calls they must act together - and TAKE ACTION!  It doesn’t do any good to complain about a caller on this board unless you then take the next step and do something about it!  The caller ID number is usually a ‘Spoof Number” – A Fake!  Never, never, ever engage the caller or call back the number.  The false robocallers will then capture your number as a ‘live one’ and use it over and over and sell it to other scammers.  The same goes if it prompts you to ‘press a key’ to ‘opt out’  of their calling lists, or be transferred to someone, as this will only ‘log’ your number as a working one and make it ripe for future calls and to be sold to other scam companies as well.
The best option is simply to hang up, keep your own list of calling numbers with dates and times and report them to the FCC below.  There is space on their complaint form to list several calling dates and times of a repeat caller.
The DO NOT CALL list is worthless, they do not act on anything, just build a database of numbers.
In order to do something to help stop these type calls, everyone - EVERYONE needs to file an online complaint directly with the FCC.  If they receive enough complaints about a particular number - they will act on it.  Do it today and pass along the info:

This number called 6/20/14 at 2:41pm on my cell phone. I was outside and my husband hit the I'm away from the phone message by accident. No message is ever left. Not the first time I've gotten a call from this number, and probably not the last. How can we block this number from our phones?

I received a call to my cell phone from this number. A man asked to speak with the person responsible for paying the electric bill. I stated this is a cell phone and I think you have the wrong number. He said ok and hung up. First time receiving this call and it was about 9:45am.

This caller is from an Electrical Service Switching SCAM!  This one has been going on for years and under a whole series of numbers.  Do NOT engage the caller, do NOT call the number back or hit any keys to have your number delected from their 'list', as this only logs you on as a live number and will be sold to other scammers.

The number 518-320-7635 appears on my caller ID several times a day. They never leave a message. When I am home, I see the number appear on my phone and do not answer. It rings about three times and then they hang up. This is harassment and needs to be dealt with and stopped. Thank you.

It is a company called family energy

number 518-320-7635 calls several times a day. No message. How do I get it to stop. Even if I answer, there is no one there. What is going on?

Got a call from this number 518-320-7635. Caller ID said Albany, I let it ring until the answering machine came on. They left no message. I blocked the number.

Rang 4 times at 12:15p, left no message.  Other commenters advise that it is a scam call.

Did call back the number: quick on the response claiming to to affiliated with your electric company. In what dialogue do they have a right to say affiliated with electric company? I used an alias phone number, stated to stop calling all outgoing calls that you pursue on your call list, since this is a violation of the FCC and claiming a false name of a company that does not make calls to a household unless it's an emergency, delinquency on your bill OR you request the utility company to call you back. I said quit the scam and the CSR on the other end was trying to say something and I hung up. It's a supplier company. Best bet is to call your own utility company and see if they can provide you a budget plan.

These people call our numbers at lease 4 times a day from all different phone numbers assigned to some marketing company to lower your electric rates and ask for all sorts of info when questioned they replayed the were doing research for NYSE&G which is a bunch of crap DON'T give them any INFO at all just hang up !!!!!!!!!!!

Called them back and got spiel about looking at my electric bill and them sounding official. I asked the name of the company and the person said family energy. I think I will call them back a few times and hang up just to bug them. Or perhaps I'll do heavy breathing.
