they want help me for windows

I am in Canada  and they just called me as well.   Could barely understand the guy.  Told me I had a bad virus on my computer and wanted to help.  YEAH RIGHT!    I hear the other people in the backgound.  

Very sketchy.  Hang up on them.

Someone called my wife from this number (which is fake) saying that he is from Microsoft , New York and I requested help with my computer. SCAM!

Called me said was with US Treasury. Told them not to call me again.

Got a call from them today saying they where calling from Microsoft something about downloads from my computer effecting the motherboard :/  I told him I knew it was a scam he asked you had said this and I told him Its all over facebook!!!!!! he hung up :)

Just got a call from this number. The man asked for "Mrs X". Funny enough, Mr X is my boyfriend and we are not and never have been married (this is what got me to question the call from the beginning). The guy told me he was from Microsoft Windows and there was unwanted information/viruses being downloaded onto my computer through my internet connection. He wanted me to allow an "engineer" to speak to me from "Microsoft" to help me get rid of the "viruses" on my computer. When I asked him how he got my phone number he said that I had filled out my "Microsoft Operating System" license I had provided that phone number (which I know for a fact is not true) and then proceeded to give me some very long explanation that frankly I didn't pay attention to because I knew it was a scam. I told him I wasn't interested and hung up. THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!
When I called the number back, I got a recording saying that the number was disconnected. These scammers are phishing for your personal information! Don't allow them to fool you!

Got call, no message left.

I received an unwanted call from this number, and as a result, I cancelled my charge card. Yes, I got that far before I got smart.  It happens.  Don't be fooled.

Caller ID said "Pay Phone".  Some foreign guy claimed he was with YP.com (Yellow Pages) & wanted to verify the information for my yellow pages ad.  At the end, he said he would send me an invoice for $419 (about $20/month) to keep my listing.  I figured it was a scam where they get you to verify info. & then set up a monthly charge on my phone bill for fax or internet services.

Yep, they called on my cell but nobody spoke. I could hear other voices in the background. So I hung up. Since reading these posts, I have put them on my Reject list. They won't be getting through again.

i just got a call from 518-399-9915; when i answered the phone, i noticed caller id said "payphone" and i said hello payphone. could hardly understand her and she said she wanted to help with virus on my computer.  i told her i was on do not call list & don't have a computer. hung up.  this has to be stopped!

I got the call too, though in my case they pretended to be a customer service rep from my VISA/Master Card company and told me I won a trip... Poor Indian fool got the wrong person as I happen to be working for my issuing financial institution and know the fraud and customer service service call procedures LOL.  People if you are in Canada do report it to the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre and the RCMP.  In the US it is the FBI.

My grand sun recived the call then gave the phone to me for he could not understand the chap that was on the line, very thick accent of a punjabi trying to speak english with same old story my computer has a virus and one of thier technitions would remove it. My short answer was BS good bye.

They called me at work and left no message. Glad I checked this site and glad it isn't another customer having problems with our software :) Double win!
