Called my cell phone on Feb 14th at 2:00pm but didn't leave a message.  I called back and got a busy signal.

Called my Government cell left no message and has been consistantl busy

Received a phone call from 518-473-1611 on 2/28/08. It came up as State NY OGS De. When I picked up, no one answered and all I get is a busy signal when I try to call back!

518-473-1611 has called my cell 3/10/08 4:37pm and 3/11/08 9:48am.
Called back and it's constantly busy.

Called my home at 4:23 pm on 5/1/08.  Did not leave a message and line is constantly busy.  I thought maybe Albany was calling in response to a canvass letter someone answered-has anyone who posted comments also have a member of the household who answered a canvass letter?  Maybe thats why the number is busy because it's a NYS office?  HELP!!!

My daughter received a call from this number. The woman said her name was Jean Papiaon and said that I forgot to sign some paperwork. No company mentioned or whether or not they were calling back. i have been calling but no answer.
I am going thru the process for SSI for my kids but I did thru a Social Services Agent. We did everything in there office.

I received a call from this number (518-473-1611) at 10:07 a.m. on June 16, 2008. We were not home at the time, so I called the number the following day but got a busy signal. The information on my caller ID showed "New, York ST OGS." This is some kind of scam.

okay- I have the ANSWER!!! I am doing some investigative work and put in a foil request to the NYS Department of Parole, they faxed me back information and the trunk nu it came from was 518-473-1611. This is a "ghost number" used to place calls from a multi-used switch board, that is why it is always busy, it is not set up for incoming calls.

I have been doing some work with the NYS Attorney Generals office, and his return telephone number is 518-473-8720.  The exchange number in itself, 473, will tell you it is coming from the same building which the NYS Attorney Generals office is located.  Since I am only do work with the AG, I would assume that they are using 518-473-1611 as an outgoing trunk number.
