This same number called stating that I had a loan deposited in my bank account 2 months ago. He knew the name of my bank, my social, my cell and work number. Even though I knew it wasnt true it freaked me out. He claimed he was officer Nick Thomas Badge #189. He was threatening to send me to jail over this criminal activity that I havent done. I had recently did loan apps but they were not approved so no money was deposited. When I called the bank they notified me that these people have been taking out very small amounts out of my account. This is a scam. File a police report. Close your bank accounts. And DO NOT apply for anything online.

These people called me as well. The said the same things mentioned in the other posts, and asked me to settle by paying them before it goes to court. I informed them that cash advance usa (the company they claim to be collecting for) has a scam disclaimer listed on the first page of there website:

"*SCAM DISCLAIMER: CashAdvanceUsa.net will never contact you to collect funds or ask about the status of your loan account. If you've been contacted by a representative claiming to collect funds on behalf of Cash Advance USA, please contact StopFraud.gov or your local law enforcement office with any information on the fraudulent request. If contacted, please do not disclose your personal or financial information. Thank you for your cooperation."

Another firm is calling me claiming to be Worldwide and said they were acting on behalf of Allied Cash Advance. They would not disclose there address and threatened to serve me papers, using a process server (which called me from 610-844-0546) and take me to jail. They were very calm and sounded american this time. I explained that I never dealt with allied cash advance and they said they didn't care, and said they were coming to my job if I don't pay up through a prepaid card. They wanted 876.00 or else. The number Worldwide called my from is 877-309-2596. I went to stopcollector.com, filled out some information and an attorney called me back. Needless to say Worldwide is another scam company that doesn't exit. These people take names from legitimate companies and harrass folks that have filled out some kind of loan online. They have your name, whatever address you used on the application, and the last four of your social security number. I refuse to confirm any of it.

I received a call on my job several times today back to back with a man with a foreign accent or not saying someone will be to my job to arrest me so don't ignore the call if I am thinking about doing that.  I mean if this is the case why haven't I received anything in the mail regarding this and why don't they give me the name of the company and their address.  They keep changing the numbers they are calling from as well.  The foreign man had stopped calling because my employer told him no personal phone calls and if he wasn't a client or prospective client don't conduct personal business with me on the job if that is the case.  I work for a law firm but I don't want to get my job involved in whatever this is but it seems like I am going to have to speak with one of the attorneys at my job.  I better not lose my job behind whatever this is.  People shouldn't be allowed to harrass people like that for no reason.  With his accent, I couldn't even understand what he was saying.

One of my daughters received a call today claiming her sister was an illegal immigrant and had to contact the national criminal investigative services. Definite scam since we spoke with my daughter and the same individual called her at work. He claimed to be with the FBI and that she had to be in California by 9am tomorrow morning. Explained that there were many complaints against her social security number. The caller requested her SS# for verification.  This is a definite scam. Not to worry though since her place of employment records all phone calls in or out. With any hope this won't continue much longer

I just received a call on my cell phone from this number, same story he is Officer Black from the FBI and he is calling to keep me from further problems. Claims that Cash America put money into my acct and I did not repay.  He has last four of my social security number and told me that he was going to call my employer. Claims he can have me fired this afternoon for not paying my debts.  I asked him if he wanted to talk to my supervisor, when she got on the phone he hung up.  Then he called back over 12 times in two minutes. Then called and my work number appeared on the cell phone so they have some way of having a different number appear on the phone.  When i call them back the same guy answers and says that I have the wrong number and that he can only answer calls not make calls.

He said the there is some legal actions againist my name and SSI # and that if I don't call him back I will have to pay for the consequences. Why would someone do such thing? I am def not going to call him as this is a SCAM. Does anyone get similar calls?

I received many, many, many voicemails of the same nature.  Stated is a time sensitive matter, fraudulent charges against me, a warrant for my arrest will be issued, on and on.  I never, ever called them back!! I eventually called the nearest FBI office (Charlotte, NC) and spoke with an agent.  I LOVE what he said..."Maam, do you think if we are planning to arrest you, we would call you first and give you a heads up?"  I just laughed...he is soooo right.  Also, if you simply search FBI on the internet and get to their website, you can read about all of the "latest scams" including this one.  You have no need to worry...no one is issuing an arrest warrant with your name on it.  I just wish warrants were being issued for these Bozo scammers.  The first time they left a message, it scared me terribly.  I was very shaken up and too embarrassed to ask someone about it.  Scam, scam and more scam!!  Rest easy friend!!
