keep calling me

a female called my cell looking for my husband, as i believe my husband would leave his own cell for contacting info so i asked her who is it and she said she was from new york state tax department. i told her i am the wife and she asked my name and also my social security number. since i never gave my entire social security number to any caller and i refused. she said she need the entire social security number to identify me and she also said she could provide me a call back number if i didn't feel comfortable to give it out right away. without waiting for my answer, the line was dead but not cut off.

did she get in contact with the person who call for husband

did the person call back and did you get more info about this number

I think that it is safer not to give him /her any info. I did deal with DP of Labor and when they called: 1st, the DID leave a massage regarding whatever it was. 2nd, caller ID do show something like "NY DP of labor" NOT just numbers..

I received a call from a guy at the above number.  They claimed to be with the tax department and tried to get my social security number saying I sent them a letter and they needed to confirm the last 4 digits.  I refused to give and then when I asked him what letter he just told me that the call was recorded and to call an 800 number for more info and they would have it in the computer.  I called phone company and it has no listing and a bunch of complaints about it.

This number kept calling my work but it was a fax. So far I've received at least a dozen calls.

called my office said he was a cop and wanted info to serve a summons but when we asked his name he hung up # is from albany could be a pi or a moron from the labor dept . dont give them any info ever

Caller from 518-485-7529 called my house this morning at 9:00 am but didn't leave a message. I was at work when they called & when I got home I wanted to look online to see who it was. I called the number back and got a busy signal.
Very weird.

someone called me from that number,and everytime i tried calling back the line would be busy. i called the dp of labor to inquire,they said that there was not any documentation of anyone calling. She said never to give out personal info ,they have what they need to know. Thats how you apply for unemployment! they have your social # already Beware!

I received a call from phone # (518)485-7529 and they did not leave a message yet also seem to call my work phone as well.  I saw the information come up on the net for:JOAQUIN A. BERMÚDEZ, State Monitor,Advocate,State Office Building Campus,Building #12, Rm. 560,Albany, NY 12240,Tel: (518) 485-7529,Fax: (518) 485-2575 also another google search came up with a phone # (518)457-5598 which is attached to this particular person.  I called him directly and spoke with Mr. BERMÚDEZ and he has not had the other number in many years as he claims. He also works for the DOL, but in the Farming Division. Since I do not work in the farming industry there is no reason for him to speak with me. How can this phone # still be attached to a person who does not use it anymore and yet no updated information comes up for the new owner of this phone#?

Yes, I rceived a call from this number, a woman asked for me, and then the connection dropped out. I am surprised at the number of calls people are getting...

got a call on my blackberry from this number.... it was a fax machine.

5:56 EST Caller ID. john Bermudez should be notified his past phone is being abused for at  least fraudulent purposes.

Got a call from this number at 8:30 EST AM. Called back, got busy signal

This number called me at 930 am did not leave message on Jan 21 2010 .Yesterday the same number called and a women told me she was with department of labor and wanted info she got upset when I asked how she got my phone number because it is not listed with them and also they should have my info already so why was she was asking me for it again. She gave me some address and building that she was calling from; I still thought she was full of it. So I asked to speak to her supervisor she told me he was sitting next to her ,A s we spoke I asked  for his name and division they worked in and she hung up on me.

I just got a call from this number.  The woman said she was with the Department of Labor and was calling about taxes.  When I asked if there was a problem, she asked if I was a corporate officer.  I said, "I asked you a question first," and she replied that she could only discuss the matter with a corporate officer.  I hung up and she has not called again.

Missed a call from this number on 18 Feb 2010 @ 3:05 pm. No VM left and everytime I try calling back I get a busy signal....I currently collect unemployment so I'm not sure if it's a legit  numbr or not. I only mention "unemployment" because there seems to be a common thread with some of the posts. Very strange indeed.....
