i received several calls from this number telling me they are officers and they are filin g a lawsuit against me for an unpaid payday loan. they wanted to settle. i never took a payday loan. they were very rude and when i asked for documents they hung up.

same thing happened to us.... and we also never took a loan out...  its a scam and if they continue to harass you you should call the FBI unless you are also in new york.... he said he was officer so&so from the department of law....

they call me too saying the same thing that if i dont pay that i will be taken into court for fraud who should i call about this?

I got the same phone call. He claims to be Officer Austin Jones (American name with a thick Asian Accent - no offense) - Badge ID: 40446. When I laughed and told him I know about "them", he called me a Mother F@#$%&.

I received a phone call from 518-533-5340 from James O'Brain on Wednesday, April 14, 2010.  He said that he was with the Department of Law and Investigation Department.  He didn't say what state or anything.  My place of employment is a government job and I really didn't appreciate this man calling me at work.  I know that I am a good citizen and I haven't done anything wrong, therefore I decided to immediately look the phone number up.  I am very glad I did before I got upset.  Thanks Everyone for reporting this number as a fraud.  Now, when he calls back, I have a few words of my own.

i have also recevied several calls from this this number. they have my ss#, address, name of my bank, name of my friends and stated that my house was being watched..I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General's office in my state..I as everyone else who has been dealing with this to also file a complaint..thank you

They stated that I need to settle this other wise they are wishing the best of luck and they are going to issue a claim in the right county I live in and there will be a claim against me. When you call them back they want me to give them my social and I am not going to. They have harrassed me on and off for 2 months. I refuse to take there calls. I told them to quit calling me or I am pressing harrassment charges on they and they said that thet aren't harrassing me. Then what do you call it.

received this call 4 times at my job and 2 times on my cell phone...caller refused to speak english better or transfer to someone who could. Also called my coworker on her cell at home and ask for her and not me. These people have your SS# and will repeat it back to you!  They are very rude! They said they were Officer of the law enforcement and that i was going to be arrested soon if i didnt pay the debt asap

Officer Bislem called me at work to say that I owed them money and that they were going to come to my work and home until the debt was settled. He knew my ss#,my home address, my bank account, etc. It really upset me until I did alittle research on the phone number. Now I am mad

They just called me again. My husband told them to stop calling. I did take a pay day loan out but all is repaid. If any of you can tell me how to stop these people from calling PLEASE let me know. They have called my work several times a day. I don't know how to stop them. This has been going on for at least 2 weeks now. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can they legally do this  to us?????????

Did you get them to give you the documents that they have? Have they called you since. They keep calling me and harrassing me at my job and cell phone.

These idiots called me just now too talking about a payday loan that I took out September 2009. I didnt take out a loan, the last loan I took out was like 3 years ago and that was all paid off. I kept asking them if they have the documents and if so can they send them to me. He told me that I would have to have my attorney to call him. BS!!!! So when I told him I know an attorney and they will be calling within the hour, he said yeah.....okay and then hung up!!! They had all my info too. IM GONNA GO CRAZY IF THEY CALL ME AGAIN!!! IT WONT BE PRETTY!!!

Hi Karen. Im pretty much upset just like you. These people said they have all my info(which they did) and said that my house is being watched. Now I dont like that. I have little ones and when he told me that, I literally went off. My thing is, they couldnt give me a straight answer either.

I called the FTC 1877.382.4357 and filed a complaint with them.

I received a call today, at my place of employment, from an officer "Jack Dawson" about a case filed against me. He knew all my personal info, including my social sec. #, home address, e-mail address and work address. He read me an "affidavit," explaining to me that I had the option to hire an attorney and risk going to jail, or to settle it out of court over the phone (red flag, of course, when do police officers collect money?). This man had a heavy Middle Eastern accent and started speaking in a threatening matter when I said that I wouldn't settle over the phone and started to question the validity of the phone call. He hung up on me after claiming that he would "make sure that I would be in serious trouble."

I called my local police to file a report, only to hear that they had heard of a similar complaint just a few weeks ago. After coming to the conclusion that this indeed was an attempted scam, I called the number back that was provided to me by "Officer Dawson." I told them that I had filed the report with the police and they were not to contact me any further. The person on the other line just playfully said, "I love you." (Are you kidding me? Who are these idiotic people?!!!)

This, by far, is the most ridiculous attempt at a scam that I have ever heard of. I pray that no one actually falls for this and that the "things" behind this get what they deserve.

these pieces of bull called me from the number 1019 weird huh? (sound like a terrorist to me not an asian dude)he told me his name was jonathan loyd from dept of  law and exibition and left me a voicemail saying i have lawsuit filed against me and that i should call him at 5185335340 before further action is taken against me....so i called back and told him my name he proceeded to ask me if i knew someone else and that the other person had a case agaist them..so why u call me idiots.....then they tell me not to call back but if i know the other person to have other person contact them and they just hang up...OK idiots....so i call them back about 10 times finally they pick up (not very Professional if it was legit place of business plus there is alot of static and other people in the background speakin in a different launguages sound like one of those computer cafe's they have over seas).they still ask if i knw the other person and if i do to have them call Chris Brown...lol...i confronted him about the other name Jonanthan  Loyd the guy pauses and proceeds to tell "dnt call back this number or ill kill you" or "I will Have you Killed" somebull like dat...fake [***] cop....freakin terrorist they didnt disclose close personal info about me or the other person but by the looks of this site these fools need to be caught....
