This is from a foreign country. His name was "Michael" and he offered a 6000.00 loan in which I never applied for. I did enjoy giving him a hard time though. They think Americans are stupid and will actually start arguing with you about everything, I just call him out on it, scream God Bless America, and then let him know I work for federal law enforcement and that I suggest he stop calling the USA and to run because we now have his location tracked. It's HILARIOUS how quickly they apologize and beg us not to arrest him. Needless to say, no more calls from those scumbags. :) Happy Times!

I received a call from this (Albany, NY) number from a "so-called" Mr. John Parke, claiming to represent Community Choice Financial Inc. He sound like he could have been from the Philippines.  He offered me a $6,000 loan at 8.4%, to be paid back at the rate of $300 per month for 24 months (RED-LIGHT)! Of course, he wanted me to submit a MoneyGram in the amount of $300, just to prove that I could make the required $300 payments each and every month. What a stupid SCAMMER!!

Glad you didn't get burned. How did he know it was a scam? Simple:
(1) 8.4%? for an unsecured loan? Not from a Bank? Not likely! The rate is WAY too low.
(2) The use of a cash wire transfer service. As clearly stated on (for example) Western Union's web site- They are NEVER to be used for a business transaction, or to send money to someone you do not personally know.
(3) Being cold called with an offer of a loan, when you never applied for one.

Thank you for letting me know what his name is and yes, I got the same call with the same message and offer. Also from numbers 424-704-5014 email stating they are Advance America with a loan approval code: LMC-972-555 in the amount 5000.00 dollars with interest rate 12%, 28th months, with monthly installments $199.77 with 0.00 security deposit. a loan agreement was attached and sent along with this email to claim my loan amount. Also stated if I was still interested call 347-779-0548.

This [***] called me telling me I got a loan for $4500 and that my interest rate was 10 % paying 210 a month? He wanted me to go down to money gram? He supposly was legit. What a scum bag.

I  got 2 calls from same number 5186184577, both times was a recording stating that I was approved for a loan that I never applied for.  I was to call him back with my authorization number. . My mother got a similar scam a few weeks ago..

I've gotten a voice message 2 days in a row from this number pitching the $6000 loan.

Got one of these calls today, and I too, laughed my butt off.  Never knew a John who sounded like Apu from the Simpsons, or whatnot.  Anyway this doofus w said I was approved for a loan up to 5K.  So I wanted to have a little fun with the idiot, so said I wanted 2K.  He sounded a little miffed, but oh well.  So, he went into his line, saying for 10 months I'll be paying  $245. I said NO, you lost your damn mind.  The most I can do is 100 a month.  Then he put me on hold and another non-English speaking nit-wit came on the line and wasn't the  most pleasant chap.  He wanted me to send a security deposit, yeah ok let me get u my info, dial tone was what I've gave him.
