- Michele QuickI've gotten 2 calls just ignore
- MCCalled, and as stated above, said the call was going to be recorded. Attempted to ask some questions about my address and when I would not update the address and kept asking who they were, they said they were a (CB-something) collections agency for Adirondack Internal Medicine and were collecting a bill from 2013. I have not lived in the Adk for 5 years and knew this to be incorrect. I called Adirondack Internal Medicine. My account with them is clean. And the name of their collection agency did not match. We both determined this is a scam/fraud call. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.

- PLEASE READ: don't let them trick you!| 1 replyCBCS dept. Collection agency. The cover hundreds of companys for med. Bills, credit cards bills (capitol one), and so many others! You most likley owe someone, they notify they record due to they must prove 2 contacts, as proving "due-dilangence". IMPORTANT NOTE: in 10 years things fall of your credit they can not collect, each time they can prove a call to the correct person, the 10 years starts all over again. This company specificially works only with accounts that are about to fall of your credit, and the wish to start your 8-10 years ALL OVER AGAIN! Which is legal, all they need to do is verify your name. That's it! NEVER give them your name. Then BEST way to handle this is you SHOULD pick up, and you tell them they have the wrong number and you do not know the person they are looking for. And further more tell them you are on the national do-not-call list and not to contact you again. Picking up and telling them NO "I am not John DOE" you have the wrong number, and NO I do not know that person. They called me for 10 months until I did this, they could restart the collection the time-frame allowed to collect if you tell them your REAL NAME! This account is about to fall of your credit, and will no loger be able to be collected on, it's their last ditch effert to restart the 8-10 year term, based by state. I have a MBA, and worked at a student loan collection agency while in college. Trust my awnser!

- James| 1 replyPrevious poster's comments sound like BS but look up your rights under state and federal consumer protection involving FDCPA, CFPB, Cease and Desist. First thing is your right to know who's calling, the business name, address, phone number, web site. When they call ask for the information. This slimy debt collection agency likes to use multiple alternate names: CBCS, CBC Companies, CBC Companies A Division Of CBCS Credit Services, Credit Bureau Collection Services Inc, Credit Bureau Services, The Credit Bureau of Columbus, Inc, The Credit Bureau of Delaware Ohio or any combination they desire. http://www.bbb.org/centralohio/business-revie ... bus-oh-4006011/

- Tamianth replies to JamesThe previous poster is going by Canadian laws I'm betting. There seems to be a mix of US and Canada here. Its not unusual for Canada to get called by the same callers any more. Their laws are fairly similar to ours I am told. He/she may have assumed it all Canadian posters though. I hope this company is licensed in both country's!
Thanks for posting the info.. Here's the rest for US folks.

*Keep a notebook handy for writing time, date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

- BrianThese guys call me all of the time. I never answer but it's funny how they time the calls right after I make a payment directly to the hospital I owe on which are already likely in collections with them. I'll be damned if I pay them a dime or answer their call.

- mikeThey keep on calling me everyday. This is so annoying. I was a victim of robbery and was sent to hospital after the incident. I am not liable for the hospital charges. I survived the armed robbery and injured during the robbery attempt. Why should I pay the hospital charges in this case?
I didn't go by myself to the hospital for treatment. I was sent to hospital by police after I was severely injured during armed robbery incident. I am not at all responsible for the hospital charges in this case. Period. - KellyThey keep calling my work phone every day for the past 3 months and never leave a message. If I call back, it says that call is being recorded. I don't want calls recorded from my work number but I can't get through to somebody to tell them to stop calling this number. So irritating.
