Just got a call from this number. I have not seen this number calling me in the past. My caller ID shows "Birmingham D."
I did not answer, and they left no message.
Does anyone know who this is, what do they want or what are they selling ?

Caller ID shows  Birmingham D. I have no idea who they are. They left no message either. We are on the Do Not Call list, but still get telemarketer calls all the time. That list is a big joke. These people could not care less about that list.

I got a call from 518-621-7123 birmingham d. I missed the call, so I called them back. No answer, but a message saying this number is no longer in service. But they just called me. I do not like this behavior. How do I get rid of them, or find out who they are?:

This number has called MULTIPLE times and another just like it. Both offering alert systems and insurance for "seniors" You have two options. press 1 to speak to a representative or 9 to "opt out" I tried opting out but they continue to call! Every time I try to speak to a representative the line goes quiet and then...NOTHING!! I don't understand. What is the purpose of this?? How does this type of call benefit the caller?

Called at 18:16, caller ID'd as Birmingham D. They did not leave a message.

Received call from this number, no message and no called ID --- didn't answer phone as I didn't recognize number or area code.  

I noticed this number just started calling people yesterday. Called here just now; 8:40PM. How do they afford to keep changing numbers? I guess they know most of us block them and they most likely spoof someone else's number maybe they don't have to pay for it.

Now the caller ID says this number is from Albany, not Birmingham. Guess the scammers are going to use different cities, hoping people will answer. DON'T answer the phone, it just ensures you will get many more calls from other scammers.

PLEASE people- if you don't know a number/name, and they leave no message- WHY are you calling them back???  This is called "number spoofing" when you call  back & get the recording the number is not in service.
Number spoofing is possible because scammers, spammers, & phishers are able to computer generate a false number and i.d.- they have better equipment and computer programs than the government does to track & prosecute them.  Most of these operations are overseas & out of our jurisdiction.

By pressing 1 or 9, or anything, you are confirming you are a "live" number thus increasing the # of spam calls you get in the future.

Birmingham is the alleged name,,,area code is Albany NY. I am reporting it to the National Do Not Call complaint dept....They always seem to call at dinnertime,,,I suspect that some catalog or other org. that deals with seniors has sold our names.

Dnt know who thsis is CALLER ID comes up "Birmingham D." Called at 8:30 CST last night. Who are they!?

monday am, 9 december, about 10:12, same as so many others.  did not answer, call went to answer machine, caller dropped off.  bloody nuisance.

This number comes up as assigned to "Stuart King", 633 Delaware Ave. in Delmar, NY 12054.

If you don't recognize the number, don't answer. If it is important they will leave message. Otherwise you are just letting them know that they reached a legitimate number. Do not call list doesn't matter. Robotcalls. 555-5555, 555-5556, 555-5557 and so on.
