Received a call from this number, the caller had an Indian accent.  He left a voicemail.  The voicemail had music playing in the beginning as if he was at home.  In the voicemail he stated that his name was Officer Jacqueline.  The message stated that there were pending investigation against me, and that either my lawyer or I call him back.  When I called back the person stated his name  to be Sargent Mark Thomas, I told him my name, and he told me my SSN, address, and work phone number.  He then stated that the charges against me were violation?, check fraud, and theft. He told me that I had 300 dollars deposited into a Bank of America account.  I have never had an account with Bank of America.  When I asked him to speak with his supervisor, he told me that he was the supervisor.  I insisted on speaking with a supervisor, he hung up.  I called back and the same man stated that his name was Sargent Rick Williams, I asked for the name of the company, but he kept asking me for my name which I would not repeat.  He go angry and told me "don't call here", and he hung up.

Super awesome. Might consider reporting this number to the "Payday loan collection scam" board, as it goes along the same lines. https://800notes.com/forum/ta-1b47a30428c1e14 ... ew-numbers-here
I would consider pulling your yearly credit report in the next week or so if you haven't already. Then keep a super-close eye on your bank statements. It's a scam, but you can't be too careful. If you're contacted again, let them know you're aware it's a fraud and that you're going to report them to your local authorities and the BBB - and you should be able to keep the calls away at least for a while.

I received the same call... He threatened to take me to jail in new york state... He said his name is officer patrick bell sounds fishy to me when he tells me nothing but his fake name and won't give any other info.  Not even the payday loan company that I supposedly owe. what a crock! I hate those stupid indians who don't have anything better to do than rip people off that believe them...very sad.

I had the same thing happen to me today.I was beside myself when he said there are warrants out for my arrest in my State ,telling me that I made a cash advance in my bank account .Which I didn't said thing is he knows my social, address, bank, and work number. He said he was  a Officer Rick.  Jones. I was so upset that I went to my local police department and   let them know what is going on and they are further looking into it. Bad thing is, he has my personal info. So  I have to call my local social Security office and have them check and secure my social. The same number on here called me.. I heard multiple indiaqn voices in the background.

The same # called me this AM and left a voicemail. "Officer Jones" said that I would be in "big big trouble" if I didn't call him back...so I did. Conveniently enough he was in a meeting with their attorney. It took me 3 tries to get someone I could talk to, I was understandably upset and shouted at the 1st guy a few times so he hung up. The last guy I talked to "Peter Black" (all 3 were forehead dot indians) finally explained that someone had put me down as a reference for a cash advance and I would be held responsible for the debt and they would arrest me because of it. I am currently looking up attorney's in my area to see if: A) this is a legal practice B) if there's any action I can take against them.

I got the same message today from Officer Rick Jones... funny thing is, if someone put me down as a contact or reference for a loan, they would NOT give out my soc sec #... duh. When the number came up as 000-000-0000 on my caller ID I knew it was probably fraud.

This telephone number was on the caller id of an associate of mine on today's date. The caller stated that they were a Federal Investigation Agency and an Officer Mike Johnson was inquiring about a serious financial violation concerning the brother of the person who answered the phone! Best advice I can give is

DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE IF YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE PHONE #

why run the risk of being scammed, if it's a legit company they will leave a message!

I recieved the same call from the same idian voice accusing the same thing. I did try to get a small loan around xmas thinking it was legit and stupidly gave them my personal info. I was unaware of these loan fraud reports. About 1 month later someone charged my bank account 45$ and it was untraceable . Because when i filled out the form online for the loan it asked for my bank info. I realized soon after it was a scam and disregarded it and didnt bother presuing the loan.now today i recieved this same call. I believe the two things are related. I changed my bank accout as soon as some1 tried to take money from it. Now i am worried that they can do more because he has my info.ALL my info.

A man from this number called 12 times in a row. My minor daughter answered the phone. He cussed at her and told her that her mother was going to be arrest either at her home or at her job. When I got home I called this number back and got the same man who told me he would call my house every day and he would talk to my minor child anyway he wanted too..  What can a person do about phone calls like this? When I asked the business name and who he worked for he refused to give me any of this information.

Whenever anyone calls claiming they are an "Officer" ask for their badge number. It is highly illegal to represent yourself as an Officer of the Law when you are not. It's called impersonating an Officer. My co-worker took a phone call and wrote down their number. I called back and asked for his badge number. It shut him up real quick and in fact he requested I didn't call him back!!! Crazy!!!

I aslo signed up online. I haven't had any spam, unwanted mail, or phone calls resulting from signing up here.

Try turning it around on them when they call. I asked for their badge number (had called them back) and they requested I don't call them again!!!
