A man with an Indian accent left a message for some name that I could not understand, but it was not me. He said it was a federal offense to ignore his call. He wanted me to return his call.

Left the same message...it is obviously a scam!!

Just received the same call!

Hard to understand the scam because the guy's voice has an echo sound. That way I guess you would react to the few words you could understand and call him back.
Call blocked him.

Caller left a voice message saying he was trying to contact "me' (no name given).  Sounded like he was sitting in an concert hall, lots of echo.  Had an accent, like British Commonwealth resident.  Said it was imperative that (I) call him back, and that to not contact him was "a federal offense".  Said (I) need to all him back so he "can help (me)".  Yeah, right.

I got this same call. He said his name was Dennis Quaid. Calling regarding an enforcement doctrine executed by the US Treasury intending my serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional attempt to avoid initial appearance before a magistrate judge, or grand jury, or a federal criminal offense. I advise you to cooperate with us and help us to help you.

When I returned the call and confronted the cowards they hung up in my face. Totally a scam.  Hope someone gives them justice they deserve.

Called and left a garbled message about this is US Treasury dept. Needs serious attention. Ignoring would be an attempt to avoid appearing before a federal judge. Called the number and an Indian sounding woman said hello?  I had to ask 3 times who I had called. Lol. Scammers

Same here only I couldn't make out his name. Accent could have been Armenian but could also have been Indian as the echo chamber he was in made it difficult to understand. I did find it amusing that certain words were very understandable such as "federal criminal offense", "magistrate judge", and "help you".

Got the same call and from the number 667-309-1036. Those [***] will never learn. Each they call and leave a message I call them back to let them know their number had reported to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration. They hang up immediately...

I received the same message

Got the same message, but the caller identified himself as Bennet Drake (a character on BBC America's "Ripper Street").  Did sound like a bad speaker phone and hard to understand.

Received two calls from this number ......Indian sounding male voice and hard to understand clearly due to so much echo.  Stating that we needed to call and if not it was a federal offence?  Can this be stopped!!!!  Also one call had called ID number as 386-626-1109 as Starnet Inc Orl

518-800-8136.  That caller left an ambiguous message about a federal offense but he did not explain what.  He voice sounds foreign, and seems to not understand what he is talking about.  It is OBVIOUSLY a scam.  Federal offense of any sort will send a letter to your house.  They do NOT call you.

Please avoid getting scam.  Do not fall for these guys.

Received the same call. Left message. Obviously preying on unwitting people. Some criminal offense to respond to.

I answered the call and it was the same as reported above. It was a recording of a man with an accent who was hard to understand except for saying it was a criminal offense to ignore the call.

I received the same bad echo call as everyone else and just like everyone else said it's clearly a SCAM call.
