calls and hangs up

Can't something be done about these calls?

They call all hours of the day and night.  Let it ring twice or three times and hang up.  Or hang up if you answer it.

Called and left no message.

Hung up when answered

called, no answer  DAMN......

I just rec'd a call from 518-998-6554 and I answered it.  Nobody was there.  I tried to call them but
could not.  Somebody should do something about these calls.

Received a call from 518-998-6554, no one there when I answered.  Caller ID came up as TEST CODE. Called back, got the usual "the number you dialed is not in service" message.

called twice, and then hungup bfore I could answer.

Just received call from 518-998-6554.   Claims to be an electric and gas supplier somehow affiliated with the upstate New York utility National Grid.   Asks if you would like 15% off on your utility bills.   I just answered "YES" to everything the caller asked.   After about 3 minutes, she must have thought I was a drooling idiot, and hung up.   The best part is it provided me with a belly laugh, and impaired their call timing and "production".

They called and offered me a 15% discount on my National Grid bill after one year.
What are they looking for my bank account number?  I don't trust this call and National Grid
Should know about this.  They are calling back tomorrow.  They want to talk with my husband
and I told the guy my husband wasn't home (he was sitting in the living room).  Tomorrow I
will recognize the number and answer it and not talk and that will tie up their line.

I am on the "do not call" list, to little effect.  At 13:43 on September 3, 2012, the caller from this number asked to speak to the "person in the household who handles the National Grid account."  When I asked just why he was so eager to speak to that person, the caller said his name was "John" and tried to launch into a spiel which I interrupted by saying I had no interest in his scam.  He was insisting there was no scam when I hung up on the SOB.

The number has called 12 times I am also on do not call it gets to be annoying

Sept 6th, 2012- Recieving hang up calls from 518-998-6554.  We are also on the do not call list.

i do not know this caller doe snot speak when I answer the phone

Multiple calls on my cell.. so reported on donotcall.gov and filed complaint with FCC (http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm) for what good other than personal satisfaction!

Gets calls from this number every day. Of course, nobody answers this phone when I call back. What should we all do?

Got charged $1.00 on my credit card from NY Test Code. What the heck is this all about????!!!!!

This is so annoying but the best thing to do is not answer the phone - most of us have caller id so if you don't know who it is, don't answer.  If important, a message will be left.  I have blocked many calls however have blocked so many I no longer have any room left!!
