- LinnehFemale called saying she was someone from the Royal Bank of Canada I told her I'd call back and she said "she'd call back".... that's not what I said....Sounded fishy, so I called the number back and found out it was Samtel, some kind of marketing research... I didn't like them saying they were my banking company....
- eric G.I got a call from these guys yesterday. After reading the comments above I'm starting to suspect this to be a little fishy.

"Hello Jason,
My name is [removed_name], and thank you for using our Online Banking message centre.
I have taken a look at the phone numbers below and entered them into our data base. Non of the numbers below belong to us, and are more than likely a telemarketer company of some form or another. If one of these phone numbers have used the RBC Brand it is more than likely a scam .One type of scam involves unauthorized persons who use variations of the RBC brand and logo ( or another company) to add credibility to a fraudulent scheme.

- TTThis is a scam, definitely. The women with excellent pronunciation tried to tell me the called in behalf of RBC and sell some options...As a former employee of RBC I can tell you guys, this is a scam! do not give any information to the third party!!!
- Caller: in behalf of RBC
- jenniferwe recieved a call this evening- it was a man...wanted my husband...sounded weird
- EI have been getting 2-4 calls a day from different phone numbers and they all give the same spiel with RBC mentioned. This is definitely telemarketing or a SCAM. They weren't very happy I told them I was reporting them as I am on a Do Not Call list. I am also complaining to the RBC. This is ridiculous to have that many phone calls. We were getting the same number of calls in the fall and they said it was Bank of Nova Scotia. I am seriously considering canceling my land line phone as it is really getting out of hand with unsolicited phone calls.
- Caller: SCAM
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MontrealJust received a call also from a female saying she was someone from the Royal Bank of Canada.
- Fed Up Of These Calls!Have been receiving these calls at least once a day for a month or longer...Highly annoying and no longer answer them. If I do answer they ask to speak to my husband which I don't have, haha.
- EAMReceived a call today.
No voicemail message.
I'm an RBC customer...won't pick up the line if they call back!- Caller: Unknown
- JamesReceived a called from these people saying something about Identity Theft Program they are selling. The woman sounded like a recording because when you interrupt her, she jumps straight in a matter of milliseconds to whatever you are saying. They also claimed they are with Royal Bank in my case.
- Caller: On Behalf of RBC
- Call type: Telemarketer
- RLAlso received a cold call from this number and was blown away at what happened. The woman on the phone introduces herself and implying she works with RBC, a trusted company. Asking for all of my information, stating I would recieve 30 days free trial for some identity theft program and receive a free $50 gift card just by signing up. She was very well versed and a very quick talker. She tries to pursuade you into giving her your information, Do Not! Total Scam.
- Caller: On Behalf of RBC
- Call type: Political call
- youbestbringchocolate| 1 replyYep...there's quite a few HANNAH's working for this Femtel 'marketing/research/etc' company calling on behalf of RBC and others.
Tonight, "Hannah" hung up on me when I started to ask questions.
The following phone numbers have all showed up on my phone. (Some I happen to answer, but they quickly end the call when I start to question why and who they are.)
