Got a call from a James Watson claiming to be with the Canada Revenue Agency and that I was under investigation. Claimed if I dont call back I will arrested. Called CRA confirmed fraud.

I got the same called. knew it was fraud but call CRA to confirm anyway. They told me it's the most common scam now.

Anyway they called twice. Once while I was out of town and left me a voicemail and a callback number 613-912-9302 and second time, another voicemail but a different number 519-00-3571. I called back just to record what he has to say. He stated that I have a few charges, violationg CRA law. Never really states what the specific charges are. Use very general accusation like tax invasion and claiming income much lower than what I have earned. He told me not to interrupt until he finishes. I told him he has not specific which case and that everything has been recorded and I will pass it to the authority. He was like okay, thank you and you can serve yourself. LOL

Received call from "Unknown Name" from telephone number 519-800-3571. Caller left the following message:
"Hi, this message is intended for (my first name). My name is James Watson form the Canada Revenue Agency and this is a final notification call for you in regards to your case file of tax that indicates your name. If you do not get back to us as soon as possible we will get you picked up on the charges. Please do not disregard this messsage.  

Note the caller clearly had a "Nigerian" accent.

Received a call today from a woman with an Indian accent.  She said she was calling from Canada Revenue Agency and that I committed fraud and reported inaccurate tax information.  She was aggressive and basically told me to stop interrupting when I asked her for exact facts. I said that I paid my taxes yearly. Again, she bulldozed me and told me to told stop interrupting and said I was wanted for tax evasion.  When I mentioned that I recognized that it was a fraud and scam call, she became more aggressive and said that the police will come to my home and beat on my door and will take me away.  Without further explanation on what she wanted, she hung up on me.  Definitely more scam artists.  I assume that this number came from another country as the international country calling code started with "011".

I just received a call from this number claiming they were with CRA Bank of Canada. They threatened that a warrant was out for my arrest. They stated that I had committed tax fraud by not claiming correct information and that I have to go to the bank and pay immediately. They had my personal information and the information of my son. They threatened I will be taken away. They said they are connected to the Attorney General and gave the name David Kroll.  I typed this name into google and the attorney general was David Croll born in 1900.    When I questioned this they became angry and stated that I did not have any right to ask personal information.  I called the actual Canada Revenue Agency and they said I was the second phone call today reporting this. The police have been called regarding this.

Received message from this number saying it was Katrina Morgan (519-800-3571). She had a heavy accent and said a warrant had been issued against my name. Charges pressed against me for tax evasion and to call immediately before further action took place.

Just had 2 calls from this number. I missed the first call, but they called again within 5 minutes. Indian woman, claiming to be from CRA, gave this number for my husband to call back regarding his taxes. I tried getting specific information out of her and she interrupted and would not answer my questions. I am glad I checked this number online.

some Indian lady called me from the same number on my cell phone and addressed me with my nick name. i immediately knew someone is trying to be smart here. it was the same story, abusive language, urgency and CRA and finally Police.

how long will it take to apprehend the culprit.........until some poor fellow will be out of pocket???????

I have just received a phone call from the same number claiming claiming exactly what you guys said. They gave me my full name plus my status in Canada. I was worried until I phoned my lawyer and told me it is new type of a scam. I mean what's wrong with this people, and what happening in the world. How could they manipulate people and steal their money in dirty way.

They've kept calling and I've told CRA, and yet they still exist. Do not answer this call or respond.

Received a call from 519-800-3571. I was unable to answer at that point in time so a voicemail was left. There was a lot of noise on the other end of the call from a man who said his name was James Watson and that I was under investigation blah blah blah and to call back immediately on the number he had called me from. I didn't return the call and recieved another call a few hours later which I ignored. Hope they find out who these idiots are soon. Some people may not be as suspicious of such things.

I received a call from the same number the male person said his name is james Watson and that I owe revenue canada 8 00 dollar and that if I pay cash right now I will only pay 5oodollars and don't discuss this call with anyone even my husband and if I dont comply the police will come knocking on my door and that he will call back in an hour well low and behold he did call back and this time my mother in law answered the call when she argued him he said don't worry the police will come to get her I called the police and they said it's a new scam .I dont know how long it will take the police to apprehend these culprits

We received a call from Agent James saying that we are going to be arrested from our physical address and to call him back at 450-977-5706
