Stop calling this number, this is a business line

Telemarketer selling security devices for elderly. When I told the caller to take me off their call list, he ignored me and continued to read his script.

Of course "he" ignored you and kept on talking---you were listening to a recording from the medic alert for seniors scammers!

The only purpose in the medic alert for seniors scammer's calls is to get our credit card numbers so they can cheat us!

The call I received from this number just now (didn't pick up but the machine did) was one of those bogus recorded "polls": Press 1 if you think there should be more gun control; Press 2 if you  think there should there be less (as if the situation could ever resolve itself into that one simple choice). How is it OK for these people to make robocalls to us after 5 on a Saturday evening? Without even announcing who they are? So -- not political, not a charity, not a company I've done business with, and therefore illegal. When I didn't press diddly, the call hung up, so I never did get to find out what they *really* wanted from me.

Due to the prevalence of these type of spam calls, i no longer have my voice mail turned on, but, i do monitor my calls through use of Caller ID and my service provider's website. These folks called in to my land line 3 separate times within 2 minutes. Clearly, this is a computer generated call.
When i returned the call from a different phone line, the automated answering system indicated clearly that this was a polling company. Annoying, but, not necessarily illegal.

mine was also a poll you press the number and if a candidate was for the issue would you be more likely to vote for them.

Three calls in the past 24 hours.  Never leaves a message.  When you call back anonymously, the message claims it is a polling company, and they apologize for any inconvenience.  Really?  Then don't cold call people you don't know!

A computerized message reponded to me with "your opinion matters" and then it disconnected.
