- AnonymI got a call from this number today and they said they were from the litigation department for cash advance america. They said I was being sued and when I got angry and persisted for accurate details the man on the other end of the line began to go into some very explicit language which, in my opinion was sexual harrassment. I retaliated by telling him I was reporting him for the scam and the harassment. Then I hung up.

- JACKJILLThis phone number called me this morning several times. When i answered, the gentlemen did not state what company he was from, and he insisted that i had a loan which was outstanding. I have never ever received a pay-day loan advance and knew something was strange. When i asked him to send me proof of loan, he got very rude, started calling me names, also stating that he will be waiting at my house tonight to kill me. I find this very disturbing and i hope to get to the bottom of this and make that stupid man sit his a$$ in jail. It has now been one year since the initial phone call, and i have 25 missed calls from this number. He will not stop calling. Dont answer for this number! I am reporting this to the attorney general asap!

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.
Some fraudsters have instructed victims to fax a statement agreeing to pay a certain amount, on a specific date, via a pre-paid Visa card. The statement further declares the victim will never dispute the debt.
If you receive these calls, do not follow the caller’s instructions. Rather, you should:
■Notify your banking institutions.
■Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file.
■Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger.
■File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.
Tips to avoid becoming a victim of this scam:
■Never give your Social Security number—or personal information of any kind—over the telephone or online unless you initiate the contact.
■Be suspicious of any e-mail with urgent requests for personal financial information. The e-mail may include upsetting or exciting but false statements to get you to react immediately.
■Avoid filling out forms in e-mail messages that request personal information.
■Ensure that your browser is up-to-date and security patches have been applied.
■Check your bank, credit, and debit card statements regularly to make sure that there are no unauthorized transactions. If anything looks suspicious, contact your bank and all card issuers.
■When you contact companies, use numbers provided on the back of cards or statements

- DustgorillaThese clowns were calling my wife and telling her she was being sued and needed to give a credit card number to settle but they wouldnt give her any information. When she was asking they became frustrated and were insulting her. I grabbed the line and the clown with the heady indian accent said he would "kick my a$$" I stayed on the line and pryed for information he said his name was John smith and he was from Auto Loans and people like me are whats giving creditors a hard time? Then after a slew of insults and name calling and laughing from him he hung up on me. I called the number back and it was a "heavy indian accent recording" for a sex line. press one for sex with man and 2 for sex with woman. So I delved into it. Well they couldnt tell the tone I was pushing so the "recording" said say man or woman, so when I did they said give credit number so they can connect me. When I told them I was onto their scam and they were to cease calling this number immediately they started laughing and hurling insults then hung up. They continue to call this number constantly.

- Tache| 1 replyI have had several missed calls and voicemails from this number i was finally able to get thru today the callers namewas Sam Davis the previous was Rob Miller all different standard america names with Simmon Law Firm. However, it is always an eastern indian accent sort of computerized sounding. I was shocked telling me I did a pay day loan for $1500 with Cash Advance America. I have done one in the past but not with this company a local mom and pop. I went online recently to apply for a small personal loan to consolidate etc and since i have been receiving tons of spam mail from random payday cash advance places. In how I was in tears when i got done and immediately contacted a friend that was an attorney he said for me to bring in my information and he would look into it. My husband advised me to do this reverse lookup number and found this. I am astonished. As an adult you are taught to take care of your bills and pay them. I am just in "AH" about this. I was told on this call that i was being sueded and be taken to court on Monday. I think i am going to report this to the local FBI maybe call my friend that is a US Marshall see if he has heard anything. Good luck to these b*$t@!ds!!!!

- qwanI received a call from them today and they said that I was being sued for 3 counts of fraud.. apparently 589 was deposited into my bank account and when they went to "retrieve" the fund because i was no longer eligible for the loan the money wasn't there....duhhhhh You dumb f**** You never put the money in there to begin with.. i was given an option to pay 3000 dollars to take it to court or keep the whole situation on the low by paying the 589 immediately.I was told if i took no action that my credit score would be effected. the man even said that once i paid them their money i will no longer hear from them.he said that they sent countless emails trying to reach me. when i refused to pay anything he put me on hold for 12seconds..(i counted) and came back told me in 12 seconds he had spoken with advance american and they agreed to drop the case and was willing to set up a payment plan...wtf..I HATE SCAMS!!! FIND A BETTER WAY TO GET MONEY!

- QWAN replies to TacheI think that was the exact guy that spoke to me today. He said his name was Rob or something and had this thick Indian accent, I made him repeat just about everything he said because I didn't understand him.
- JoeHello,
Today I got a call from a guy with an Indian or Pakistan accent stating that his company Cash Advance America is suing me for fraud because I did not pay back my payday loan. I asked for details of what he is talking about but he just kept talking about legal action and asked if I had any judgements. He had my social security number, where I bank and where I work.
I never worked or heard of this company before and the loans that I do have outstanding are current which is especially why this call was shocking. Now I'm concerned that I may become a victim of identity theft.- Caller: Cash Advance America

- Dee| 1 replyThey tried to say I was being sued and they were coming after me, and would come to my work and make me go to court right away to be tried. I called Advanced America Cash Advance and they said this is a scam and it is happening a lot. Give them as much information as you can when this happens. I have reported it all to the FTC and to the local consumer protection as well as Advance America Cash Advance. They also want all of the local authorities to know this as well. The message was from one person with a thick indian accent and a different name. When i called the number back I got a different person with a thick Indian accent, his name was Jack Dawson. NOT talk to him.
