- Kist34It was a call from CITI group asking to call 800-335-1517 with my credit card.
- Caller: Citigroup
- DavidReceived calls at 2:00 AM and 1:45 AM the last two mornings. Totally too late for anyone other than an emergency to be calling.

- Joey| 1 replySomebody called my mom from this number and claimed to be Sears Fraud Dept. She gave them her entire card number for security reasons. Because of that and the fact that they called on a Sunday, I made her call back the number on the back of the card. It was in fact Sears and not an attempt to get her details. I still wouldn't give out my entire card # unless I called them, and she got pretty lucky
- Caller: Citigroup
- PatIt IS Sears Fraud Dept. Our acct has been paid off since 2005, the cards are in the desk drawer - don't even carry them with us. Someone bought something on the internet w/our number, which Sears approved, but then, someone charged something in Ireland 1/2 hour later, and up went the flags!!! Our card has been cancelled and they'll issue us a new one. We need to fill out a fraud report. Scoop: The first 3 sets of 4 numbers are a bank code. Once they get that, they play around with the last 4 digits and the exp. date until they hit on a winner, and then charge away! Your cards don't have to leave the house or ever to have been used!!! (Brand new cards, we got them last Sept. and they never saw the light of day.)

message left: "hi this is maddie calling from office depot credit services about an application that we did receive for the business and we do need you to give us a call back at 1 800 767 1358 with the reference nbr.... "
Ok, this is legitimate. last month I applied for an office depot credit card for my business. i called back after getting the Code 25 on the online application; they told me i needed to fax in personal guarantee information. i told them no thanks, I'd prefer not to complete the application at this time. i then received a letter in the mail asking me for my personal guarantee (ie - soc sec number instead of tax id number and duns) within 15 days otherwise the application would not be processed. i tossed it into my file cabinet and ignored it. i already told them i don't want the card if they're going to require a PG.
and yes, office depot is backed by citi.- Caller: office depot/citibank

- lynne replies to nonaiiI am happy to read this, I also applied for a office dept business card. This # appeared on my caller ID, I called back, said # was not is service.
OD already told me they wanted PG if I wanted their card, I am not willing to risk the INQ on my report. So I know who is it, putting it on my files. - BryanGot a call @ 7:30pm monday night. Called back tuesday morning & got a recording saying that the # had been disconnected.
- kmg replies to JoeyJust got a call from that number too. Took your advice and called the number on the back of my card. It really was Sears early fraud dept. calling to let me know that they've been informed of a possible breach into credit card numbers and are closing all accounts that have numbers that fall into that category (even if no fraudulent charges have been made yet). They're issuing me a new card and changed my password.
- JackMissed a call at 1:40pm.. I recently tried to get a staples card but they asked for a PG and mailed me some forms(which I threw away). Chances are they were probably just trying to find out if I wanted to go on with the application if the above comments are correct.
No voicemail was left.- Caller: Citigroup-staples

- Yep, it's a real number alrightI had purchased something and within 10 minutes I received a call from this number.

- ballyfitI received a call last night stating that they were with CitiMortgage and needed some additional information regarding my Mortagage Assitance application. He wanted my last four of my ss#...I refused, since I was already informed that I didn't qualify. I told him that I wasn't comfortable with giving him any information since I had already received two phone call from a unknown number claiming to be CitiMortgage wanting to set up a payment (I already have payments set up with them). I told him i'd call back tomorrow with the information, so I did and the lady told me she didn't see any notes of a call or any reason to call for more information. These calls are making me crazy.
- Caller: CitiMortgage
- sallyHad a missed call from this numberm when I called it back, it said that is was disconnected.
- CurtGot a call from Rob McCone said he was with CitiMortgage and that they had been trying to reach me and since they had not he needed check by phone payment right then for 750.00. I asked him where to mail the check and he could not get the address and said he would call me back with that info.... All he got from my was my last 4 digits of SS and he had all the other info, address, principle balance, terms rates, etc. He was so pushy for the check by phone right now that i said I would call back and he said ok and hung up.

- mebbersCaller ID 520-662-2000 showed up on our cell phone. No message left. I blocked this number on our home phone and reported this number to the Do Not Call Registry. Both of our phones are on that list, so they should not be calling us.
- darkstradall you people who say this legit, do you work for the company, or are you just trolls?
I got a call on my cellphone, which isn't even linked to any card accounts, they didn't leave a voicemail, and when I tried calling back the number doesn't exist. - FrankBeware of scammers at 520-662-2000, 800-335-1517.
Received a voicemail from 520-662-2000 with caller ID Citigroup claiming fraudulent activity on my credit card account. The message instructed me to call 800-335-1517. I did not call but instead called Citi number on the back of my credit card. They have no record of them making such a call. From the posts it appears that the above numbers are doing the same scam claiming they are Sears as well. - AdamThis is a scammer. Please don't buy into it. I live in the 520 area code so it was particularly deceptive.
