- A HoyReceived a call from 526-452-1026, no answer when I said hello twice. Googled it, it's from Mexico?? I live in Ontario Canada, don't know anyone from Mexico. It isn't bad enough we get unwanted calls from the US & Canada, now we're going global?!
- Caller: no idea
- KristinaJust received this call, when I answered they asked for my husband, by first name only. When I stated he wasn't home and could I take a message, they said no they'll call back later and hung up. Did a search on the area code to see it's from Mexico.
- KristinaJust got a call from this number..like the others, no answer when I said hello.
- Dayna| 2 repliesI just got this call from this number .... lady said she was from Microsoft (yeah right)
She said that they have noticed that every time I log onto the internet it shows on their end, that I have a malicious
virus (hehehehe ) and would it be ok if they cleaned my computer ???
I said yeah ..... NO !
I told her that I just virus scanned last night and I know my computer does not have a virus
And She hung up on me !
Also she had had a very heavy east indian accent
Hope this helps someone- Caller: Microsoft
- Earl replies to DaynaDon't you feel bad? That nice lady called you all the way from a Boiler Room Scam Center in Mumbai, India, to try to help you with your computer and you insulted her! All she wanted was to get some Fantastic and paper towels and "Clean" your computer.... I'll bet her name was Suzan, grace, or crystal. If it was a guy, it would be Mark, Kevin, David, or steve. Very common Indian names now days...
- AngryGrammaThey called. Some Indian dude asking for something. His accent was so bad I assumed he was one of those shittiots that keeps calling from a Canadian pharmacy. Maybe not. When I called back, the number was not available.
- Caller: INDIAN CALL CENTER
- Call type: Telemarketer
- SRF replies to DaynaI just had a very similar experience. I have received 3 calls in past 24 hours from same company. Don't know if it is the same number each time as caller id didn't capture the number the first two calls.
Heavy Indian accent with very "traditional" American names - twice, Patrick called. (How did another poster here know that his name was going to be along these lines? hehehehe)
They told me that their company was a "breed of Microsoft" (who says that?) and that I had error messages being sent to Microsoft from my hard drive that needed to be removed to prevent a crash. "Patrick" gets testy when I told him that I don't have a computer (hehehehe). The 2nd call guy told me that he works for Startouch or Starboard Solutions (he muttered even more through his accent each time I asked) and gave me the following number to call back at 855-805-7686. - PuzzledCall received by wife at about 2000 EDT. Male asked for me using my first name. Wife handed phone to me and when I said "Hello" there were several clicks and then a disconnect. I do not have Caller ID on home line so when I used *69 to get the number it was given as 152-645-21026. 152 is non-existent prefix. Assume some &*%# scam.
